There's a thread on accessories with a post about storage "pockets" that go between the seats and console or hang off the console, which might free up your existing cup holders. Maybe it was in the "What did you do to your LC this week."
I will search for that. Thank you

OK guys, thanks for the laughs... I'm back in junior high again...

Maybe try googling AutoExec or Cab Commander perhaps those will help you... I have both and would recommend either one depending on what you need...

The cab commander can be swung around on the head rest pretty easily if a passenger need the front jump seat while in the field...

Good Luck,

Jeff

I tried to find the link I was thinking of but gave up and searched Amazon. Something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015DHJT60/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_P7xnAbW6WNWHE

Or this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7R1HMV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_zcynAbY9MNJPQ

I tried that Wedge Cup Holder thing (2nd link) the first day I had my LC. Would work great for a smaller person or for kids. It doesn't fit with me in the seat.

The Catch Caddy thing (1st link) may work since it seems to be flexible and will just fill whatever space is left. I may get me one

Anyone have a way to help locate a lost key remote for a 2016 or later? Maybe something that can lick up on the radio signal from the remote?

holy crap, those saddle bag things are perfect!

holy crap, those saddle bag things are perfect!

Yeah and they're only $30! I thought they'd be way more expensive than that since their other items are so pricey

BTW, they are out of 200 series dash covers until mid-February in case anyone was interested

First time I saw those saddle bags, I couldn't get past the buckle that will rub the paint off the silver trim and the other strap having to stuff itself under the leather e-brake boot. I use the e-brake all the time while parking off road, and that saddle bag strap will pull the e-brake boot every time.

I like the idea, but I can't handle generic things that don't really integrate that well onto the vehicle.

I see what you are talking about in the pictures. Hopefully the wear won't be that bad. I'll let you know after I use mine for a while. I am willing to compromise for something like this that suits my needs. Plus, my truck will probably see a lot of wear anyway since it is used for work and is likely to see abuse over the years.

Yeah, I’d love to hear your review of them in actual use.

My truck is definitely used for adventuring, but I found that still doesn’t mean it needs to look worn. I figured I can easily switch a fitted canvas top that has cutouts for all the little features on the console and not have to deal with those straps. Then make the same pockets onto that.

Might be the same reason I don’t have their seat covers, I figured why spend $1k on seat covers and still have leather under there that still needs to be maintained. I could just replace the leather itself with a cotton canvas and have a better product at the end.

I don’t know man, I’m just thinking outloud, I might also be too jaded from so many products I’ve bought over the years that I found could of just been so much better.

Everything has trade offs. From the Molle seat backs and the "attic" from the same company to the floor mounted RAM tablet holder to the ARB drawers in my LC, they all serve a purpose but there are compromises. I wish the molle seat backs had more velcro attachments. I wish things would stay in the attic better when I'm driving around. The RAM mount still wobbles a bit on rough roads. The drawers are great but sometimes are "in the way". And so on. Heck, I feel the same way about a lot of things on this 2016. ;) As for the saddlebags, I splay my legs out too much to have storage hanging over.

I just ordered a set. I was thinking i could easily slide a piece of fabric or wrap the buckle in something, even electrical tape, in an effort to keep it from wearing. I'll see once it gets here.

Question about the Wiper De-icer feature. Button is on the Climate screen in my '11, so the truck must have this feature. But I don't see any wires or otherwise anything on the windshield that shows how it works. Tried it last night while driving home in a light snow, didn't seem to do anything. My windshield is not factory, it is a Pilkington, replaced before I bought it.

So... Does the factory windshield have any obvious wires or film that shows? I suppose I could pull the cowl off and look for the wire connections.

I thought it was the dark part of the windshield you can see at the very bottom and the sides. From the manual:
When the windshield wiper de-icer is on
Do not touch the glass at the lower part of the windshield or to the side of the front
pillars as the surfaces can become very hot and burn you.

I just now snapped this with a flashlight.
You can clearly see the embedded flat-wire within the glass on my windshield that make up the heating element.
But...it's a CHOICE when replacing windshields. If someone added a windshield to your rig, they might have chosen to skip it to save about $70....

See the lines in the photo here (the brighter red line is just a drop of water that magnified it in that spot) :

EDIT: As others have noted, your heat elements might look different than mine, but you should see SOME pattern there. My blades are a little short (bought them in a pinch)... Also, I shot the passenger side edge. Middle where the driver side blade rests will look different, and various windshield makers may have a different look to the pattern.
