How long do you guys drive your vehicle after adding a lift before getting an alignment? Putting mine on tomorrow if all goes well. I've seen a number of recommendations of 100-200km before getting the alignment done, but I'm planning a short camping trip this Friday that will put about 250 miles on the truck. Should I get it done Thursday at Midas or wait until the uber-awesome alignment shop near me can fit me in next Tuesday?

What do you keep in the little cubby (where the first aid kit is supposed to go) in the rear of your cruiser?

In the tailgate?

If it drives out good after the lift then I'd wait for the shop of preference .... Thats got my vote
Double check your lug nuts At some point on your trip

oh

I keep extra batteries, camping headlight and assorted first aid supplies not found in my primary f/a kit. But back to alignment issue personally I would wait to install lift to allow for just the trip to the shop, just my $.02. Another set of trained eyes checking my work is always reassuring.

A factory First Aid kit. You can buy them on Amazon. I've already used mine twice.

Lift installed today. All is well, except my brakes seem a lot softer now, even when parked when I first start the truck. My mechanic buddy's helper tore a CV boot, so we ended up having to pull them and replace the boots. I'm wondering since we pulled the caliper off the disc if somehow that changed the pad clearance? Anyone else experience this? My mechanic thinks it's related to brake proportioning, but I find that hard to believe since I've never experienced this when parked pointed slightly uphill, so I don't see how a 2" lift would cause this. Anyone ideas?

FWIW I'm tempted to bleed the brakes, but before I get into it I'm hoping someone can confirm/deny my suspicion. I don't see any evidence of leaks in the brake lines, and the master is slightly above the full line.

Which black paint touch up code do I order from Amazon? My bumper has some scratches. I have a black LC.

Get your paint code off the VIN tag on the door, search on that.

SQOD- From a noobie. I recently purchased a 2015 LC200. I am wanting to put and OME suspension on it. I contacted SLEE and they recommended BP-51's, due to the fact that I am in the service and have two kids I can't drop that kind of money. I would love to, but its just not feasible. My question is if I put OME Nitrochargers Sport and OME springs, do I need to replace the Upper Control Arms too? I have been lurking for quite a while and read as many suspension threads as I could find, but nothing has said if it is necessary or not.

Probably a stupid question, which is why I posted it here....

TonyP has Tough Dog suspension. UCA are not needed due to the amount of lift. 40mm up front & 20mm rear. I am installing this week and will get back with the results. Any other suspension questions talk to Jason of Trail Tailor. He has good advice.
OME is not the only game in town.

I appreciate the feedback. The only reason that I was looking OME was it seemed to be the most affordable with the best reputation. Tough Dog was also one I was looking at but it is about 300 to 500 dollars more. The wife is still a little miffed that I bought the Cruiser, I am trying to not add to much fuel to the fire. I appreciate your feedback!

I'm thinking of putting Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires on my stock wheels for commuting and highway-only road trips. Could I get away with only getting four and using my RW/KO2 spare in a pinch? The Michelins in 285/65R18 are really really close in size to the KO2s in 285/70R17.

Installing my new Weathertechs today, wondering about these covers on the front seats, no idea how they got trashed. The inner covers on both seats are like this.

Is this a common thing? These are not salvageable, but I don't want to replace them if it's just gonna happen again.

Yes, meaning to the closest tire repair shop. I asked this same question years ago about a 100 series.

Bizzare, I've got two youngins who in sure that soot as a step all the time. Mine are solid though, almost looks like someone put something on yours which crushed them? I'd just get rid and after a while you'll forget they were even there.
