Minimum is 87 octane. I would run that. There are places in the country where there are lower octane, which may mean using "mid-grade" to maintain the 87.

As long as the retailer is Top Tier (Top Tier Gasoline), use whichever grade you want. Toyota says you will get better "performance" with 91 Octane, but anything >87 works just fine.Okay here's a quick one (for non-diesel 200 Land Cruisers): Regular, Mid grade, or Premium unleaded?

Lexus specs 91 Octane, but I suspect that is because they also spec 3 more horsepower for the same engine and need the extra Octane to make that spec![]()
My theory was always that there is no difference between the LX and LC spec...but they figured they'd better "require" premium so as to evoke a "luxury" vibe.
Could premium be the difference for thos 3 horsepower? That's less than 1%...so...maybe?
I use Premium in my LC for better or for worse...
What is this? I was thinking of attaching some D-rings (probably home made) and use them for light tie-down points. Any ideas what they are for? Searched the manuals to no avail.View attachment 1185242
