Definitely out of whack! I originally put the add-a-leaves in when I first sprung over but removed them as I didn't like the height. With just the stock springs it articulates awesome...

Added the add-a-leafs back in thinking I could drive them a while and see if they broke in - they're so stiff to start with I don't ever see them being as flexible as I like - so I'm yanking again... I prefer low and flexy - and am hoping that the new traction bar will resolve the over flexy issues in the rear.

Just makes for a funny story :flipoff2: - they're so stiff that it caused the rear to unload and straighten out as well - with just the stock springs the front wheel would be in the fender, and the right rear would have a nice stuff as well.

So is the fender trashed?

The last time I rode with you at Capt. Jim's, you were fender-less. I see you just put them back on.

Nice 40 any way you cut it!

These were the long/mild Man-a-fre leafs - if I lived up there they would prolly be broken in within a month. Down here - the only good they do is allow me to zip around street corners faster due to less body roll. I'm just not patient enough to wait for them to break in.

Maybe I'll get a set of Alcans, rear Waggy's or something more radical someday - for now - going back to the nice flexy flats that I know to work...

Did you use the long or short add a leaf?

That's awsome

Why are the stump's so tall in Fla. Capt'n? How tall are the mules:D down there?

These were the long/mild Man-a-fre leafs -...

I am staring at the exact same ones. They have been in the corner of my office for about 8 months now. I'm lazy that way.

In fact I can see from my chair those springs, a rear top channel for ambulance doors, Dash cover for 55, A/C for a 40, a 74 carb, new OME greasable shackles, a bunch of OMT t-shirts, new land cruiser emblems, CCOT poster, TT Nov-Dec, 4wd Toyota Owners mag july -aug, fj cruiser mug, a box of UC business cards and video camera with OMT video in it. In my closet beside me are new CCOT rear quarter panels, CCOT rear sill, Patch panels for ambulance doors and probably some other stuff I thought to buy at the time and thought I would do it that week. lol.

You want another set of add-a-leaves to keep your's company :D . I hate em!

This story has not been completed as of press time. Let it be known that my only role was providing the stump, miscellaneous words of encouragement prior to the incident, event photographer, and recovery chief. Here is a sneak preview::cool:

BTW, the names of those involved have been withheld to protect the ignorant.
Hmmm... that cruiser appears to be on its side...

Drive slower and you will get used to it. I agree stock springs a really soft and unstable. It's funny to see the reaction of someone riding with you when you have the stock top on and the full roof rack on going around a corner.

Wait till you see the Avocado in corners...weeeeeeee

From the pics it looks as if Capt has taken your old tires? So whats the scoop? Capt trade in the SS's.

No, Troll, those are some tires I got when Hard40 and I bought what we affectionately refer to as "The Rag Truck". 38 TSL SS. I use them around town town on the street and they will be on for MLK.

I do have my crosshairs on Bill's old tires/beadlocks, though.:D

I wish I had the coin to get my 6" springs and 37" Iroks on double beadlocks on before MLK, but the fates worked against me :)

Nope. I run 37" MTR's around town and for light wheeling. Jim still has the 38" SX's he got last year - I gave him heck about the narrow stance and convinced him to add 1.5" wheel spacers. Looks much more stable now - and he finally finally got around to using the siping gun I lent him a year ago :D .

I'm selling my double beadlocks to go to 17" beadlocks for the 40" MTR's I just got - Jim has first dibs on the Staz doubles - he'll prolly take the siped 38.5" x 14.50" SX's I have on them - but you never know, stay tuned.

I kinda like how the stock springs lean over when turning - keeps me from driving too fast.

Spending too much money on your "friend" are you? :)

Divorce is expense! Dating is cheap in comparison!

That's very true as long as you only juggle a few. Any more than that and it gets taxing in more than one way. ;)

Very true!
