@70 FJ40 got your PM, just sent you the .gpx

Got the gpx files. They converted into my GPS app just fine. Thanks guys.

With this info and a good forest service map I doubt we can get lost if we try.

I might agree to be the navigator, that is if you want someone who has traveled verry little of these roads, but there is no way I will be the cat Herder. :)

I'm fairly certain I can drive most of it by memory, and I don't think following the course will be difficult, but it's always a good idea to have a backup plan.

I was out by Pine Mt this weekend exploring with the boys from OregonTrailOffroad. Thought there was gonna be a lot more snow then there was. Was encouraging for our trip. There was a little snow above 6000 feat, but even there it was only in shady spots. Beautiful area if you have never been there.

Route 5 Section 4 is getting hammered right now... but it's going to warm up later in the week.

If you guys have room, I'd like to join you. I'm a friend of GSPRunner.

My 4Runner is fairly well equipped... Lifted (not spacers =p), 33s, bumpers, sliders, skids, winch, recovery gear, etc. etc. I have a roof top tent, but if we're setting up camp late and breaking early, I may just sleep in the back.

Here's a picture of me using my winch to spin a newer Tacoma around on a trail a couple months ago when there was enough snow to have fun. The next weekend there was just too much =(

Welcome @AWilson013 Nice looking runner. Do you have a cb? We have been talking about what we are going to use for communication.
Thank you!

I DID have a CB, I actually just recently sold it. It's my intention to buy another, so I will have one by then, yes.

@tacosupreme I have heard good things about the SST Pros. Post pics when you get them on!

They come in on Friday! Sometimes living in BFE sucks. I was looking at 35x10.50 Super Swamper Radials, but they are on national backorder. It's hard to find pizza cutters anymore.

@AWilson013 Do you happen to have a chainsaw? We were hoping we could get at least two with us on the run since we will most likely the first ones on this route for the year.

I think my father has a little Stihl one that I could likely pick up on my way through Oregon. However, I have no idea how to use one =p I'm sure they're not too cryptic.

The cat herder should be of rather little importance as long as there is a set destination for each night. That combined with an agreed upon leaving time in the morning should make things pretty easy.

Could someone post the gps files? I'd like to upload them to my GPS and take a gander.

They are easy to use, and also easy to get hurt with. Keep in mind there is no hospital nearby, and no cell signal to call for help. I do have some trauma training and a medkit on board, but I'm not very good at sewing.

PM me you email and I'll send you the GPS files.
