After looking for a bit. Seems like relying on my SGII is my ticket saver. All the adapters are 200+ dollars. The ScangGuage does a fine job, its mounted right under my speedo, so its not like its in the back seats or under the floor mats. My nav reads the correct speed also. I think ill pass on the adapters.

What version of the GPS provides speed? Mine does not.

I have a aftermarket GPS system hardwired on my dash (right above the radio). Shows speed, lat/long/ altitude, barometric pressure, and satellite data. Its nice.

Ahh, of course. I was hoping that one of the software updates added the feature to the Toyota GPS.

same as me.
i have the Scanguage II mounted on the steering column and an aftermarket GPS in a good spot (i'll take a pic).

as i may have mentioned elsewhere...where i have the Scanguage II mounted..it obscures (gets in the way of) the CDL lights and all the other lights in that cluster.

Another thread here asks about the CDL light. For me it's easy to hit the CDL switch with my left knee (Right hand drive here) and i cant see it...coz of where i have the Scanguage II.

yes i digress from the original poster....

but i'll leave you with this gem from my servicing Company (a leasing company) when i was trying to change my tyres from the Grandtreks to Cooper STTs.

"Why would you want to change from the tyres that the Toyota factory consider the best tyres for the vehicle to the tyres you are asking for? You will get speeding fines because the of the tyre ratio difference between what you have now and the new tyres, harsher ride and it will a nightmare for you"....whilst not verbatim (word for word) but it's pretty close.
I think i posted that conversation on here, but if i didnt i complained to the Leasing Co State Manager and got the STTs

56k KMs on and i still have probably 2 years to go due to real tyre rotation at a 4x4 place....something that Toyota didnt do.
me.

slee has one...ive got it mounted behind my glove box.

Slee - Speedometer Correction
OK, so I went to Slee's website looking at their option, but it states that it is for the 80. Loud does this mount the same, as per directions, as the 80? I am trying to keep the displays as stock as possible.

Thanks,

Jonathan

call slee and ask him. I only paid for it. Joe there installed it while I did other wiring for my Ham radio.

Will do. I like the idea of it being hid.

So, Slee stopped selling the Marks4wd unit due to lack of manufacturer support and what sounded like reliability issues. What are my other options for getting the speedometer calibrated? I could not find a way to do this in Techstream, but maybe someone else knows how? There has to be an easy solution for this, but it sure isn't looking like it.

Thanks for the info about the marks4wd- it seemed like a great solution and I was planning on purchasing in the future.

They offer a plug and play option. Search previous yellow box installs.
