Hello all

I have a JDM import and payed for the history online I can see it was 72,000 KMS the year it came to the UK

The cluster speedo still says KPH printed on the dial, however, the actual speed is now in miles (so the clock says 70kph however it is physically doing 70mph)

The importer has not updated the odomiter from 72,000 KMS to miles however

So the digital odometer needs correcting to miles

Is there any way I can correct this myself or have it corrected? As it looks like it’s done 30,000 miles more than it actually has

I don’t mind the clock print says KMS - but I do want the true genuine odometer

I know this isn’t something just anyone can do. Hopefully there is a way however.

Thanks
Chris

My JDM import is also in km. The update for the speedo is just a change of the printed backing, the electronics are the same. Getting a full mph cluster, having it coded and mileage corrected to your vehicle may be possible, but I don't know.

I just make sure to remind the MOT man that the cluster is in km when he logs the odo for the test. That way the record is accurate and it shows as such in the MOT history checker.
