Speaking of changing plugs and improved fuel consumption.......

Funny - this guy gets 19.5...

Look at around 16 seconds for the proof ...hello.

Is it just me, or are people with 2008-2011s claiming higher MPGs than those with 2013-2015s?

If everyone is claiming these mpgs there must be something terribly wrong with my 200. I've got a smaller displacement (4.6L) than US cruisers, more fuel (135L tank) and average 540kms on a tank. there's definitely nothing wrong with my driving style as I'm always going faster than all the other cars on the highway :hmm:
Maybe i need a supercharger to boost up efficiency, I'd actually settle for a twin turbo diesel... Time to write a letter to Toyota about my disgust with their abomination of a vehicle

Real world so far 17.5 best. Usual average 15 something.

Can everyone please post their other info along with MPG like average speed. My average speed is rather low because of around town driving and letting the truck warm up on these cold NE mornings.
I'm going to start a few test tanks with premium to see if it makes any difference before I change plugs. 11-12 is all I get on average.

If I just drive to the gym no highway and local around town start and stop, like 4 -6'miles a day avg. speed 30-35mpg, using premium gas I get 13-14 mpg. Last big highway trip from Austin to KC, going 70-80 mpg all freeway I got an avg. of 18 MPG. I think highway 60-65 Mpg is the sweet spot for great MPG. Like I said mines a 11, with around 33k miles running new OEM Michelin tires inflated to 33 psi all around. Normal drive with suspension set on sport if that makes any diff.

This. Sweet spot is definitely 60-65 and you should get 17-18mpg consistently.

I'm getting about 15mpg on average, about half city half highway, and I'm pretty heavy on the peddle... Toyota needs more like a 35 gallon tank in these rigs, I'm always at the gas station!

@Archtaan ,
How are you taking into account the new tire diameter? That would be throwing your odometer off.

Just reviving an old thread but holy cow, 200s are thirsty.

I did 175 miles this morning at a steady 70 mph and the trip comp read 11.8 mpg. I was driving real easy too. I thought my Tundra was bad, this thing has a serious drinking problem.

I am getting 13.7mpg on hwy with 34" m/t after tranny fluid change. It improved from 12.8mpg

I got 20 mpg a couple times. My K02s have reduced fuel economy.

Also, I found fuel economy on the highway is directly related to speed, with a significant drop when averaging 75 mph to 85 mph.

You can see my fuel economy here: Land Cruiser (Toyota Land Cruiser) | Fuelly

We did a big road trip from 7/26 through 8/10. The days when it drops near 10 mpg are when I was offroad.

I might have to look into that. I'm running 34" KM2s and 4.88s. The funny thing is how the little "Eco" leaf was on most of the time. Haha, yeah right!

I drive with power on. Eco mode is useless after big tires and armor.

I get roughly 13.4MPG with a ~22MPH average. I consume about 20 gallons every 2 weeks or so. This is pretty much all town miles.

We've gotten about 17-18 MPG when traveling long distance with the CC set @ 75MPH. When we do this I usually swap out for the stock wheels and street tires.

Cheers,
Chris

Did a road trip from Seattle to Wyoming for the eclipse this summer. Came back through Yellow Stone. Reset the fuel consumption when I started and combine fuel consumption on the trip was 17.6 miles. I thought that was pretty good and I was pretty heavy on the pedal. All stock 2016.
