I have a 2012 200 Series, model number VDJ200R-GNTEZW. It has done just over 100,000 miles and I've owned it for the past 60,000 miles. I do my own servicing every 5,000 miles but other than occasionally towing a boat, it is a pavement princess. The only 'failures' I've had are both number plate lghts about a year apart.

Recently however the AC hasn't been functioning very well and the other day I got a Climate Control System Error on the info screen. I called out a mobile AC chap and he found one of the AC pipes had a small hole in it and the compressor itself had siezed.

He has given me a price to fix it along with a warning that if the AC circuit has ingested some of the compressor bits, the bill will rise significantly. Unfortunately he seems to be dragging his feet a bit on when he can do it and I'm not sure he wants the hassle of doing it. As a result I thought I'd have a go at changing the physical bits and then getting someone to do the charging / purging etc.

Does anyone have the FSM associated with the removal and replacement of the compressor please?

Many thanks in advance.

I'd be surprised if the compressor seized. There are pressure limit switches that will shut it off as the pressures get too low (or too high).. meaning it shouldn't ever really run without the required lubricant, unless someone kept topping the system up with pure refrigerant.
