I thought about what you would say if you saw the interior ripped apart earlier tonight with close to 24 hours left. I don’t recommend relocating the camera and lp light wiring unless it’s absolutely necessary.Looking good!

I figured we wouldn’t have that issue since it’s cooler than it is here. Guess I was wrong and will probably be dealing with that as well.Well I am in Durango disconnecting the battery to clear CEL codes for the stupid emissions system that doesn’t like full fuel tanks with warm temps and high altitudes lol. Stupid fail safes, nothing like not being able to use cruise control because the charcoal canister throws a code for vapors.

100 series would do that frequently due to bad gas tank cap. If you crack the cap, did gas come spraying out?Well I am in Durango disconnecting the battery to clear CEL codes for the stupid emissions system that doesn’t like full fuel tanks with warm temps and high altitudes lol. I don't think it's a GX specific issue. Here's more reading than you'll ever want to do. See if the symptoms match yours? No but the vapors were bad, you could smell it in the cab, fuel running down the side of the truck of the truck as well. I had to disconnect the battery multiple times to clear the code. I never filled up past 5/8 of a tank in an attempt to help matters but it didn't seem to help, I guess the canister stayed saturated. It definitely left a mark on my opinion of the vehicle, absolutely an achilles heel for these trucks and completely unacceptable.
Yeah I’ve heard of it happening with all kinds of vehicles. I personally didn’t have that issue, but I just kept mine between 3/4 and full.I don't think it's a GX specific issue. Here's more reading than you'll ever want to do. See if the symptoms match yours?

Gas tank building excessive pressure & fuel smell. Dangerous for sure! Why does this happen?

What are you running for skids?Trying to track down leakage from something underneath. Stopped for food at about 3am in San Antonio and the entire rear half of the car was covered in fluid. Just washed everything underneath and waiting to see what it looks like after it dries. View attachment 3388687

Stock except the very front skid for the engine which is a victory aluminumWhat are you running for skids?
Check your wheel bearing. If the bearing is bad the ABS tone ring will read incorrectly and through that code.Cleaned up everything underneath to try and pinpoint where the unknown fluid was coming from and now everything is dry and I haven’t seen anything leak since. I’m guessing the magnesium chloride that was in the dirt was pulling moisture from the air and the fact that I tried washing some of it off the night before those photos made it look like there was a bad leak somewhere.
I did have this pop up when leaving work last Thursday night. Code came back as C1405 which is a bad abs sensor on the front passenger side. Drove to Houston and paid $315 for a sensor only for it to not fix the issue. Ordered a new abs wire from bell lexus along with a few other things I need. With their service and prices I think I found where I’ll be ordering all my oem parts from. Hopefully the wire fixes it.

Don’t you put that bad juju on me Washingtontaco lol. Didn’t feel like dropping another $300 just yet, but if the wire doesn’t fix it a new hub assembly is next.Check your wheel bearing. If the bearing is bad the ABS tone ring will read incorrectly and through that code.
This is exactly what my business partner did of course spending money on new parts that didn't fix the issue was step one.Don’t you put that bad juju on me Washingtontaco lol. Didn’t feel like dropping another $300 just yet, but if the wire doesn’t fix it a new hub assembly is next.
Well it’s already been ordered and it was cheap enough that if it’s not the problem it won’t be a big deal. I was already planning to order a couple hub assemblies from one of the vendors anyway for spares so I’ll just have to do it sooner. This is exactly what my business partner did of course spending money on new parts that didn't fix the issue was step one.![]()
Should be part of the assembly.@Washingtontaco would the tone ring also need to be replaced or does it just get off center due to the bearing and cause the code?
