John,

What type and size of tires on the gold cruiser in your pics?

BTW, that is a un-retouched photo of Bahia de Los Angeles from the end of last week.

Looks like the trip was worth it. Happy New Year to you, Brian. Mine started this morning finding this https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=73396 although I have no idea how long the cracks have been there, they must have gotten a kick for the worse in the Chiva Falls run. Come to think of what could have happened; we went back to Phoenix doing a good 75-80 mph. Glad I saw it this morning starting to air down just before getting on the trail...........

That isn't a good way to start the new year! Good luck with the repairs!

--John Shotts, just because you drive a bling-mobile is no reason to ignore the rest of us when we wave.:flipoff2:

Dude, have you been using your wife's ruler again? It is only a 3.5" lift and 32" tires.....and as I recall, you have the video of that "jeeper" crawling up that far left line without ever touching the gas pedal.....;) (hey, did you hear that I got my jeep through Hiway to Hell a couple weeks ago?)

And just because I can....here is what I was looking at while you guys were out at Chiva:

Oh oh....you read my comment about peer pressure. Crap! Now you have one-up on me again. :D

3.5 and 32's? That thing's a beast. Gotta be taller than that. As soon as I get your disc of that trip it's all on my site. Your video is disgusting...idling up that thing. You sicko! :D

The typical 315's. Lift is around 3.75". Not sure why I put the Lexus up higher? It cost me 3x the dough and it won't do anything any better than the '93. Oh well, it's a learning process.

Brian: Here's your video idling up that left side:

A sweet D90 video is also here.

There's also one of me there taking the center line up in the 100.

Neither of us slipped a bit. You're climb was inspiring and we did it together the next time out!
