Didn't have the time for this project I thought I would, so want to offer it up here before I go wider with it. It's a 2003 LC w/ 242k mi. Last year of the transmission dipstick, first year of the 5 speed. Overall condition is good, but it has some wear and tear with age. Here's some recent work, and I can provide a more full service history direct from Toyota. Third row seats are included. The seats are almost all tear free except for the left bolster on the drivers seat. Carpets are in OK condition given age. Speaker grills will need to be painted as the cloth covers are missing. All lights work. Car has a few dents which I will add to the album below as well as a little side rash on the rear passenger area.

This truck has lived its entire life in SoCal and has a clear title in hand. It was serviced its whole life in Orange County. AC blows ice cold as is necessary in the summer and passed smog no issues last time.

I am asking $16,000 Cash. I think this is very fair given that it's just a few small things away from being a great truck, 2003 which has the far superior transmission, and the brand new wheels/tires. I will not entertain low balls. CA Registration is also paid until 11/2024 (i.e. I just paid it last week).

Within the last 1000 miles
  • 4x Method 703s
  • 4x BFG 285/70/17
  • Front wheel bearings repacked and retorqued with new axle flanges and c-clips
  • Brand new OEM Toyota front rotors w/ Akebono pads
  • Not installed - two new front OEM shocks
  • Not pictured below - brand new front axle caps
  • New rear heater radiator
  • New optima yellow top
  • Re torqued all spark plugs
  • Not installed, but included - new front wheel bearing kit (minus c-clips/gasket used)
Prior to me owning it, but done at Toyota dealer per Toyota.com owners center within last 5 years (but it goes on and on and on forever)
  • 239k - new front right axle, radiator, upper/lower hoses, diff bushing, rear stop washer, timing belt, oil change
  • 236k - top end clean, thermostat and gasket, 4 wheel alignment
  • 216k - heater hoses and fittings
  • 190k - AC condensor plus refrigerant
The good - I don't see/hear any issues with the brake booster that is common with age miles. I also don't see any visible leaks from the steering rack which I know is an ordeal.
The bad - It needs speakers, It leaks oil on the ground (one drop, doesn't affect level)

I'll update this post with more as I think of more info, but please let me know if there are specific questions.

How much oil are we talking about leaking? When you park it in the driveway overnight how much oil is on the ground the next morning?

How much did you buy it for? Do you have the sales receipt?

Wheel/tire combo looks great.

A drop, typically. The oil level hasn't changed, so it's slow. It only drips as well if it's been driven to temperature and stopped.

I am into it for more than the asking price, but I realize the impending RMS job takes a hit there.
