Allright. I'll go ahead and order from Amayama. Thanks all.

I can second Art's experience above. I also ordered globes (just fronts, did the rears with OEM a year ago) from Amayama. It took about a month for the whole process IIRC but they are OEM parts in OEM packaging and the price was right. They seem pretty easy to work with but it's more like ordering B2B than than B2C.

I put in my order with them today. Quite surprised.. considering the cost including shipping.

From the get go with www.amayama.com less than 3 weeks total time. I inquired for quote on 3/10. Received quote 3/12. I thought I had paid for it but turns out to an error on my part. Paid 3/19. Shipped 3/24 and received my goods 3/26.

Could have been less than 2 weeks. Also well packaged.

One thing I got to wonder… the packaging was taped over with their own tapes. I guess I'm paranoid that they're putting in "replacements" but these looks to be the same as what I have under my 100.

Don't want to stray into topics that should be in the classifieds section, but I'll be removing the globes from my 2005 shortly. Maybe this weekend.

ordered from amayama twice. Got one part wrong once, and they replaced it right away by sending the right part free of cost. A bit clumsy ordering process, but seems to be OK otherwise.

I installed some B&B Globes the other week, very happy but it highlighted the fact my shocks were stuffed. So installed new front and rear shocks this week and the truck now drives like it was supposed to.

After I install my rear bar in a couple of weeks I'll get Lexus to check the neutral pressures and make any adjustments (I have standard LC springs in the rear and aftermarket torsion bars in the front).

I assume you mean that in addition to the globes, which you replaced with B&B, your shocks were also bad? Just curious - how did you determine your shocks were bad - were they leaking etc?

Since I happen to be writing a good 6+ months after your install, are you still happy with your new globes and shocks and the ride overall?

Updates from my experience sourcing globes:

Pleiades will not ship to the US (he claimed customs doesn't like the globes because they're pressurized)

ebay.co.uk (search for "AHC accumulator") has modified Citron globes for sale, they're $1030 for all 4 at current exchange rates. Not sure if these are made by Pleiades but I would guess they are.

I ended up getting mine from Amayama for $1230. I submitted my request and a few days later was told that the rear globes were out of stock. A couple days later I emailed and asked when they would be back in stock and was quickly told that they were already back in stock. Apparently Amayama can not ship globes from Japan so they ship from the UAE with "UAE pricing". I placed my order expecting shipping to take 2 months but the globes were at my door within 10 days of paying. One of the globe boxes was opened, presumably by customs somewhere, but was taped back up. The other 3 were unopened and all arrived in perfect shape. Overall I'm very happy with Amayama and would not hesitate to order from them again.

I checked with Pleiades. He no longer ships to the states. I also haven't seen kjs500 on the US Ebay for a while. Is he still shipping to the states?

If you can settle for used check classifieds on MUD, members often sell take-offs that are still functional.
I opted to remove my fully functional and in spec (via tech stream) AHC components. Not sure if its worth shipping these heavy components, but PM me if you want.

KI found kjs500. He no longer uses that name on ebay. Here is his website. Toyota / Lexus Landcruiser FJ100 series Replacement Alternative Spheres/Accumulator Kits. I just ordered a set. Varythings, thanks for the offer. Had I not ordered last night, I would have taken you up on the spheres. With the exchange rate, it was about $850 with shipping.

Do you have to pay an import tax when they arrive? I know nothing about that kind of stuff, I just remember when I was going to order a mountain bike from the UK, they said I would be charged an import tax upon arrival.

When I last checked, they still wouldn't ship. I purchased the retrofitted centurion globes.

I queried Amayama about accumulators, after my dealer service advisor recommended them for parts. He'd personally used them. They basically just said they cannot provide them at this time, nor know when they would be available. Pricing was good, though I didn't get a shipping or duty estimate.

WTV-UK Kits & Parts

Just installed mine today. I ordered on a Tuesday and recieved them on Friday.... all the way from the UK. Email responses where quick and helpful. Install was easy and he provides a hose for the bleeders and a thin wrench to remove and install. All 4 for about $785 shipped after conversion from pounds to $. Truck rides great now!
