Source for 16x8 steel wheels w/3.25" (ish) BS?

I did a bit of searching too. I believe Stocton Wheel will make any backspace you want, at a bit more cost tho. There is another one too, I think Summit sells, can't remember the name but seems like you can order your own backspacing. Left my notes at the shop.

Summit offers a basic steel wagon wheel you can custom order. Not sure if they can go to 3.25, but it's worth checking. Available in different widths too. I ordered one in 16" w/ 3.5 BS to try on my 62 but ultimately wanted a different style. That said, remember it's custom, once you order it you own it, no returns.
This wheel is advertised as white but is available in raw unfinished steel too, most the operators at Summit don't know this, you have to make them check and special order.

I know I can get what I want through US Wheel (and probably many other shops that'll custom build or modify) US Wheel wants $120 per wheel for black steel wagon wheels... I was hoping to find some place closer to the $85 that the "off the shelf" 3.5" BS wheels cost.

My current wheels (custom from US Wheel) are 3.25 and they fit fine. I am going to be wheeling 38" Swampers and already JUST rub (when full lock turning or really flexed out) on the inner fender wells (well I did before I added 1.5" spacers, that I'd like to NOT use going forward).

So Summit was able to do the 3.25?

Handful of good wheels out there for 60's, the hard part is getting them to fit around the damn calipers. Those ProComp 87's "bowl out" just right to wrap around the stock calipers.

So turns out Summit (actually US Wheel) cannot do 3.25" BS. I ordered over a month ago and only today did they tell me they can't do it.

I have gone round and round on the phone with Summit & US Wheel and it SEEMS I can get 3" BS if I get a "reversed rim".

Anyone have any reason why this would be a bad idea?

Bad idea, and bet they will hit your caliper, even in 16" size. Many years ago I ordered 4 custom raw steel "reversed rim" 15" wheels through Summit / US Wheel with 3.25" BS, because, as they told you, they can't make them the regular way. When they arrived, they were all reversed, but one was 3.50" BS, while the other three were 3.75" back space. The problem with the reversed rim, is that the the curve/dish meant to clear the caliper in normal orientation, is now reversed, and so the wheel hit the caliper. They would not have worked, even if they made them correctly. So, I got lucky they made the wheels wrong. I sent them all back and got a refund. If you are going to take a chance on a "reverse rim", I would only order one. That way, if they actually make it properly, and it hits the caliper, you are only out the cost of one wheel.

I would just order 17" wheels, they seem to be the "new 15", and they seem to come off the shelf in most any back space, and they will easily clear your caliper I bet.
