Please explain? He asked about complete UCA’s not just ball joints.
So after seeing another time with him saying avoid 555 I decided to see where it was coming from.
Warning: Lots of stuff about to be posted.
Found the "original" post where he put the ball joints in. (At least the first time he mentions them on the forum that I can find)
Lower Ball Joint really screwing with me - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/lower-ball-joint-really-screwing-with-me.1198287/page-3 Post #42 in 2020
Note: the thread is not made by him.
He was having popping sounds from the front and assumed it was the ball joints he replaced, but had already started calling the NAPA one superior by then. (Can't follow the logic behind that one. They look exactly the same in the pics of the part the sites include)
Ball joints shot - tie rod end boots torn also. What else? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/ball-joints-shot-tie-rod-end-boots-torn-also-what-else.1244155/page-2 Post #35
Also for clarification he was talking about the more expensive one not the Altrom one.
@2001LC Does mention on this page that there does seem to be a 2mm difference between the OEM one and the 555 one.
@DuckLN Also said the gap was the same on his when he put them in.
I done more than a few lower ball joint. I find the Powerbuilt 46 kit has everything I need. No need for a 2 1/2 pipe adapter. As @Biga27110 said: The trick is to take off the ball joint boot. You want the adapter the fits very sung on the bear ball joint. Otherwise it will be difficult to...

But after reading more on
Fwiw we’ve sold and installed the SuperPro poly control arm bushings with good results, we stock them all and many customers have been happy with them. Any issue throwing a poly bushing in the frame when all the other bushings are OEM?

It seems maybe there wasn't enough grease in the boot?
And like
@cruiseroutfit said in post #47.
"I'm not saying your joint isn't in fact making noise, it very well could be. I'm just saying that one noisy joint out of tens of thousands would be an outlier and not indicative of a quality control issue. We have issues with brand new Toyota parts too fwiw."
And the fact that the noise apparently went away after he swapped them again kinda points at the 555s being the issue.
Was it a bad part? Maybe, but if it was it
definitely was an outlier. There are too many goods vs bads to say otherwise.
I work with computers I've seen brand new OEM parts that are DOA.
I've also had DOA OEM car parts before.
Was the part installed correctly?
Probably from what I've read.
The one big if is the lack of grease in that LBJ pic.
