We had a great week at SAS #7. Thank you to the directors for putting on an amazing event. It was great to see old friends and make some new ones. I won big Wednesday night with an aluminum roof rack made by Big Country 4x4 - South Africa raffled by Rugged Bound Supply Company. Thanks to Theo and Jeff M. We can't wait till next year!

Much appreciated! Here are a few fun facts: 1998, 3x locked, 3x low range gears (Nitro 4.88s and low center diff gear kit), Nitro 2.5 suspension, OME heavy rear springs, Dobinsons UCAs, 35" Falken M/Ts, 2x air conditioners, heated leather seats, cruise control, PEZ dispenser.
Super cool 100, Joe. Wish you could have made it by camp. Met you at Merus last year.

Chris took about 1400 pictures. I'm guessing there's at least seven or eight good ones in there. 😆

When I get those from him, I'll upload everything to a dropbox folder and share that.

@POTATO LAUNCHER next year, maybe leave a blank post at the beginning where links to such folders can be saved?
I wanted to ask…I heard we can get pics or videos from Chris. How do we get those??

I'm going to see him tonight and have him dump everything onto a flash drive. I'll probably upload them at work tomorrow.

Assuming nobody lights any dumpsters on fire...
Ok, you’ll upload to this thread!

Chatting with several of the directors around the fire on Friday night I mentioned how SAS benefits from pre-selection… something I experienced in spades this past week.

The kind of people who will drive crazy distances to camp in the mountains to wheel their old Toyota rigs, by definition, have a lot more in common than not. So many good people all in one place… sharing beers, helping fix things, and giving from their experience; very humbling to be a part of it. My family had a great time and we are already planning for next year.

Special thanks to @mesa man, @80Lady, and @BombCity (and his clan) for welcoming me around their campfire on the last night. And many thanks to all the other directors who put so much time and energy into such a great event.

Some photos to share…

@Honger you are the reason we love what we do. We had a great time visiting with you and definitely hope you and your family return next year! Thank you for the kind words...you humble us by being so gracious about SAS.

Nice meeting you this year! Kora's perseverance with our stubborn dog was fun to watch, hopefully they continue their friendship next summer!
