This truck has been sold but keep an eye on LCN for others.

She spent 37 years in Yuma, AZ before moving to VA in 2017. Of any populated place in the contiguous United States, Yuma is the driest, the sunniest, and the least humid. (Wikipedia)

I owned this truck in 2016 so we have some history. This 1979 FJ40 has factory A/C that blows cold. She was re-painted from Olive to Beige in 2004. The firewall remains the original Olive. Original engine, drivetrain, and suspension with newer BFG’s over white spokes.

The odometer seized up around 70K miles right after the current owner got her. A new-old-stock cluster with the odometer set at zero was installed. Today it reads about 3500. The original cluster is included in the sale. I'm estimating the real mileage at around 75,000 miles. The interior is nice. The original front seat upholstery needed a few minor repairs when I owned her. I used material from another FJ40 to keep the seats 100% stock. The rear jump seat covers were sun baked so they were replaced. The floor mat has minimal wear. No holes. Radio delete plate in dash. New headliner, dashpad, door rubber and more. Door cards show some cracking from the AZ heat.

Original 2F with Weber 38 Carb and has been de-smogged. The truck will run 70MPH without issue. Great power and nice running 2F. Brakes are great! Steering tight. Current owner had the tank boiled out and fuel system gone through. Replaced the battery, new instrument cluster, brake master cylinder and some brake lines. Small items like the cabin light and cigar lighter where repaired. Rust free late model truck with A/C.

Comes with the original carb, air cleaner and smog parts that were removed. Also includes jack, toolkit and Owners manual.

Offerred at $32,500

I usually don't like any non factory colors, but I must congratulate you on this color. Finally someone who repainted it better than a stock color.

I can't take any credit for the color. It was this color when I found it. Kind of reminds me of this factory color on an 84 FJ60 I owned. That may have been what they were going for.

653 was a color that I hated the first time I saw it but have grown to love.

I totally agree. I didn't care for it at first, but it has grown on me :)

I love the beige / tan on the FJ60!
