They moved to another State. They appear to be setting up shop again in a family owned building.

Kinda fergot which thread that was, but stay tuned.

I have a Best Top Tiger Top on my current one and one on my last 40 as well. I believe it is the same thing as the Super Top except that is uses buttons instead of rails. If you live in an area where you can take the top off for a few hours but have to put it back up when it suddenly gets cold or rains I prefer to have buttons with a vinyl as it is easier to put on when the vinyl is cold. Cold vinyl and a rails system is damn near impossible to put on.

Also keep in mind that if you put your vinyl top on when it was colder out and it was tight, when it gets warmer it will look like crap and all floppy as it has expanded. You can make a simple adjustment at that time and it will tighten it up.

If I had denim which is not as badly affected by temp changes I would go with the rails system.

At some point and time I am going to figure out how to use some linear actuators to allow real easy up and down on a soft top. But that is a ways in the future.

i wonder if you could tint softop windows???

I will post a picture later of an Ehsan top with tinted windows.

This is Trekker's old 40...

The second to last post says that they are no longer making them because they closed up shop due to health issues.
Hey guys we're back and alive and well!!!!:bounce: Besides making tops
we also decided to offer a repair service via UPS or USPS which includes changing out or replacing window panels. You can follow our thread under "US SOFT TOP POSSIBILITY".
Thanks

Travis,

While making a softtop that does look like an original is a great idea, have you put any thought into the mechanics of it? If you had a top neatly, easily, quickly and simply folded down it would be great. The whole point of a softtop is that it comes off. I sticl with the supertop or besttop because they are not too hard to bring down and put back up. However, if I could find a top that could be as simple as pulling 2 lockdown handles at the windshield and undoing the sides that would fold down on the back like a convertable, I think you would sell a ton of these things. I could probably come up with a basic design for something like this, PM me if interested.

I've made tons of custom boat bimini tops and am looking at something like that as one option.
Definitely open to all suggestions.

Will PM you this evening.

it was brandnew when i bought the FJ the windows didnt even have a scratch...
and i HATED it, it was complicated to take down... it says you can roll up the windows and have the top top stay up to keep the sun off... that never worked for me it always blew off... rolling up the back sides also creased the windows badly i would recommend strongly against any top like that... i had a top on my wrangler that the rear windows zipped totally out of the rest of the top thats the only style ill ever buy

Yes. PMing you.

im intrested did you make that

I found a manufacturer that iis willing to make the tops and bows. They will be using a material slightly stronger than that used by bestop. We are working out the colors available. Please let me know what colors you would be interested in. I am trying to work out a deal so I can have a quantity of these tops available.

I will be working out most details by the end of this week.

I will be stocking Ehsan tops, bows and parts. The first order will arrive around May 8th. The price for a canvas or vinyl top (without bows) will be just $600 + shipping from Boston.
