The front still has a ways to go but all 4 are still firmly planted.

Fred, where is that in moab?

thats a badass pic fred everyone has such big tires and I have a SOA with 31'' tires :( hahaha

was this before or after you s*** your pants??

what are there no more sprung over rigs out there?

wow thats a cool pig! nice cammo job is it military sytler or like forrest style?

I'll play. I've got a bunch of shots but I think this one is my maxed front travel. If you look close enough you can see how the main leaf is pulled away from the rest of the pack at the rear of the spring.

Boots that is ridiculous amounts of drop. It makes that 37 look like a 33 way down there. What spring /axle combo is that? Those have to be longer springs... its making me want whatever that is.
Did you make that shackle reversal or is it a kit? I was on the fence with a shackle reversal as I figured when you hit a bump in the road it would be throwing your caster off in the wrong way but if it helps you unlock that kinda drop I wouldn't care.

All custom of course, no kits. Those are cruiser axles and I pieced together a hybrid spring pack up front. I combined ford ranger (93-97) rear leaves that are 58" long (front stock FJ60s are 44") and some stepvan leaf packs (GM variety) to make my front packs to get me flex and weight capacity for my heavy diesel engine. The pin is offset and not centered which allowed me to run such long leaves up front and packaged that in a shackle reversal mostly due to the length so they wouldn't be rock finders that far forward. I was able to move the front axle forward a couple inches and I've kept the overall SOA pretty low. The retainer guides have the cross-screw removed so the main leaf can separate from the rest of the pack; however, there are pros and cons to that.

In the rear I'm running Chevy 63's; 4 leaf plus the overloads.

flex

Showing a little flex but more just a v8 and wet rocks. thanks for Tools for this shot.

Kinda a crappy picture because it was getting dark. But mine slightly flexed on the side of my driveway.
