As long as there is room on the axles and the frame rails I don't think coils would be hard to do at all.
Might cost a bit more but only because you have to come up with some links. The coil buckets are dirt cheap and so are coil springs.
I am converting a leaf sprung truck to coils, not a Cruiser but similar truck. I have all the links around with johnny joints so it should be pretty cheap to do it. I am going to run about 5" of lift on it and some 35s.
