all i know is it works for this application, and to be honest, that is all i care.
the truck seldom sees over 3000 rpm and sees a lot of off road use where bottom end grunt is useful.
on my PZ (almost identical displacement 3B-3431 vs 1PZ-3469) i am installing a T3/T4 hybred that rocks.
this install was to allow all those dead 2LTE engines to be able to supply the 3B with some cheap low end improvements.
at no time did i suggest this application was for those that like to rev their 3B pass 3000, and mind you, not a lot of 3B owners do push that engine into the 3500-4000 rpm range.
cheap and easy to install, even the exhaust dumps in almost the proper place so the stock exhaust is still used.
so this is the turbo mounted to the exhaust manifold mounted to the engine.
we used a fixed oil feed line from the oil shut off supplied T fitting.
we tried to use a direct oil return feed down to the pan but it went too close to the turbo so we added a 45 degree feed away from the turbo heat.
then a temporary line down to the oil pan.
