So, I just ordered Bobby Longfield's Chromoly Birfields for my FZJ80 (1 Viewer)

The independent dealer wanted 600 for each OEM birfield. CDAN, I thought those were $3oo a piece...... but $600 for each? I thought highway robbery and gambled on those new birfs from Bobby. I talked with him for a while. Very helpful. I almost ordered the super set by accicent before I realized they were for the FJ40s.

Glad I mentioned something about the ABS ring and removing it off the old ones placing them on the news ones.

pretty excited to not be riding so rough regarding the steering and vibration with my worn out old ones.

I know. That is the same feeling I got eventhough I seen a few of these "after market" birfields and not found an altogether response like "get these" their awesome and easy and not a PITA. Call it a hunch, I am ignorant to rock crawling circles and sub culture. EIther way, I am stoked because this know nothing has got himself a "mean" pair of Birfields.

$600 per birf is correct. Worth every penny. Still, I don't think you can go wrong with Longs...I don't believe he's made a crappy birf yet (and if he did, I'll bet he replaced it for free.)

I have a pair on mine and they are very impressive.

Wow, Did the price go up in the last 2 years? Because last time I check they were $600 for the pair.
