I’ve been looking around for snorkels

for my ride. Has anyone heard of “monster service” and their aerodynamic snorkel for the 200?

I was eyeing this one too. Looks fantastic, best one I’ve seen. Nice and low profile. I Ended up going with the tried and true Safari airmax Snorkel.
The extra plumbing in that image makes me wonder how it connects to The factory air box. Looks like the tubing would run along the inside of the fender and then connect to the OEM air box with the blue gasket. Looks like a PIA to install lol.

I looked into these a few years ago… (Roca Silva) but they weren’t ready for the US market. Italian…

Just know that the us air box won’t be an exact fit. The us port is in a different place and is a different shape. They use the same hole in the inner fender, just a shape issue.

I thought the differences in the airbox fittings for snorkels had to do with the engine type (not US or other country spec). So, it was my understanding that a V-8 engine snorkel would work for any LC 200 V-8, but the snorkel fitting on a LC 200 diesel would be different.

In the case of the Italian unit, their answer had to do with some sort of legal issue with export…but there was a string language barrier going on, so I’m not sure.

It's all a matter of preference. The safari is utilitarian but is also pretty classic. The TJM is about the closest to the above that I can think of:

My favorite is the Fabulous Fabrications:

But there is an open question about fitment on a LX.

I had the TJM Airtec on my 08 LX and loved it. Made a tiny bit of wind noise, much much less than my Safari on my FJ cruiser and made a nice intake honk at WOT. It is not for the 5.7L gas engine and the airbox inlets are slightly different shape and slightly offset but the rubber adapter can be muscled into place and still seals up perfectly. Will likely go that route again on my 13 LX.

I like the look of that MonsterService snorkel but I am not sure how I feel about it being made of fiber glass. I know the Safari and TJM plastics are tough as nails as I pushed/snagged/snapped many many branches with both of them and they shrugged it off.

hmm.. most trails that I go on here are barely wide enough for out thicc ladies. So I might be with you on this, unsure how I'd feel about it being strong enough "just incase"

I emailed MonsterService and asked a couple questions. Its a Russian company. They replied right away and said that they have sold several of their 200 series snorkels to U.S. customers. I gotta think anyone with a 200, that adds a snorkel and buys it from some startup company in Russia, has a good chance of being on Mud. So talk to us MonsterService Snorkel users! Need feedback.

I use a tjm clone. As @RyanR said. The air box ports are different shapes and locations, I made it work with a tube of rtv and some cutting and some cursing.
i didn’t cross ref all the various engine combos, but there are reports of getting the diesel lower box and having an easy fit up. The diesel lower box was not economically feasible for me.
Raised cold air intake working well the last two years.

there is an air flow discussion related to the MonsterService low profile snorkel in this old thread.
