Hey guy! As some of you have noticed - tracking numbers are making their way to your e-mail boxes, which means the grilles are SHIPPING!

In fact, as of tonight - EVERY grille should be shipped. I'm hoping some people even have them by the weekend to start installing them and posting photos.

When posting on here or IG - please tag @urj150

I can't wait to see these starting to get out into the world. 😍

There are a couple install tips we posted on the website, but 99% of you are going to instinctively know what to do. However, since we haven't finalized our install video (whoops) I wanted to point out a couple things.

1) You need to transfer your OEM weatherstripping from your OEM grille to your TRD Style Grille. This is done by carefully pinching the retainer studs and pushing them up and through the grille. If you don't have your original weatherstripping or want to purchase a new one, the Lexus part number is 53395-60050.

2) You need to transfer and slightly trim the radiator grille brackets from your OEM grille to your TRD Style Grille. This is done by using a set of cutting pliers and snipping off the 'half moon' shaped edge just after the second hole. If you don't have your original radiator brackets or want to purchase new ones, the Lexus part number is 53115-60030 (x2).

I highly, highly, highly doubt any of you will actually need to order those parts from Lexus, but just to be courteous, I wanted to include the part #s.

Any other questions, please let me know!

Again, HUGE thanks to the community for helping this project come to reality. I can't express the amount of gratitude I have for your patience and support. 🙏

Why not run them off your daylight running lights? (I keep these on all the time)

Thank you for the tips. if you have some pics of how the brackets should look after trimming, it would be very helpful!

It's really up to each owner to decide, but this is a very good option.

What's the official recommendation for powering the raptor lights from?

Again, 100% up to each owner.

You can tap the fogs lights if you want them to come on with fog lights, DRLs if you want them on with DRLs (I like this option) or run an external switch if you want to go that way. I recommend an inline fuse (not provided) as well.

The GX470 install video does a good job of addressing this. We will have a GX460 specific video soon.

Yes! They are on the website. But here they are as well:

you can tap into the marker lights on the outside of the headlights

Good idea actually. You wouldn’t happen to know where I could locate the male and female connector so I could do it all clean like? I’ve got a few connectors in the GX (and RAV4 Prime) I’d like to tap in to but my connector supplier is pretty much out.

Boy that’s a long boi. Let’s get her out and onto the rig.

I had to trim the bracket a bit more than the pics I’ve seen in this thread and it still doesn’t quite fully “tuck” under the hood. After looking at others that have done testing, I’m guessing this is just how it’s supposed to look.

I haven’t wired up the Raptor lights yet. I’ll take care of that tomorrow.

Pretty straightforward install and it took me about 25 minutes including taking it off and trimming the brackets again.

Unfortunately I don’t think I love it just yet but that’s also probably because I’ve just recently started the build and haven’t done much other than maintenance so far. I’ll probably love it once I get wheels and do some additional modifications. I’m sure the faded headlights don’t help either. That’s on the docket for the weekend.

I got mine today and installed it. I had a little issue fitting the grill. I had to "stretch" the grill so that it would fit onto all the mounting points. I also had to trim the brackets a lot more to fit the grill but still there's a decent amount of tension in the grill to fit it where the brackets are mounted.

Damn thought I'd be first to post, ah well. Little disappointed it came with a broken tab, but I installed anyway. Same issues as others mentioned about fitment, it's about 95% there.

Dog-gone, they look really good!
If I got one of these grills, wonder if I'd have to do any trimming with my MetalTech front bumper??
What's the website for them. I have not been able to find it.
Thanks!

Don’t scare me, I’m hoping it’s all good. There’s already a gap with the factory grille so let’s hope that extra space is good enough.

I'm not sure if this pic helps but I don't think you guys with metal tech bumpers will have any issues. The new grill is about the same size as the f sport grill. I would say that the new grill is a tad smaller since there are small gaps on the side and top.
