Anybody have an online source for the Amrep A/C Power Foam? I'd prefer this kit as no drilling is required.

My local Toyota Dealer won't sell it over the counter. It has to be done through their service department. :censor:

I did ebay, google, and yahoo searches and can't find on online retailer/seller for the kit.

Exactly... the Amrep kit does exactly that. I'm just having trouble sourcing the kit as my local Toyota dealership is being a prick.

Ahhh.... it just hit me. Your meaning to use the other kit in that same manner. gotcha.

In that case, then my only question would be is that the main reason why Toyota dealerships switched from the BG product to the Amrep product? ... to avoid having to drill into the housing?

Or

is Amrep a better product in terms of cleaning?

I spoke to a shop in Atlanta that uses BG products and I asked him if he would sell me some of the fridgi-clean (answer was yes) and I also asked him if he sold the kits (where you have to drill a hole, install a fitting, etc.). He said they just spray the BG stuff up the drain tube. I don't know what kind of nozzle/hose comes on the can and forgot to ask him but I do intend to get some soon for my 4Runner and my 80.

Just got done doing this today and it smells awesome... not "apple" or some fruit smell... just clean.

Will let you know if it holds up.

Got the BG Frigi-Clean and Fresh as a kit from the BG rep in my area. Small pilot drilled and no worries.

Good luck all.

Will let you know.

I know this is an old thread, but just thought I would mention that I was trying to purchase the Amrep product. So, I ended up at their website.

Professional Products Group - A/C SYSTEM CLEANING KIT

I used their contact form to ask where I could purchase the product in my area. I received a great email from their National Sales Manager. He told me they don't have retail outlets but if I would email him my address, he would send me a kit. I sent my address and 2 days later fedex showed up with a free kit.

do you remember where you got the price from? Discount auto wants $113. ? I think mine is the worst case senario, the p.o. had two harry dogs that he took everywhere so i think that alot of that is paet hair as well as dust and organic material. The whole garage smells like that today ...had to leave it open for a while when i got home.
