My 1993 has become really sluggish. We baselined it a couple years ago. It just seems like it has lost a lot of power lately. Any suggestions of where to start looking? Thanks!

Thank you. I’m going to check the bearings today. I’m glad that you agree it could be the bearings. It feels like it is having to push itself down the road. I’ll let you know what I find out. Thanks again! How do your fluids look? Are you noticing heat at the hubs? Does it coast to a stop quickly?
This is a fantastic forum but we need more information.
Thank youYou can check the air fuel ratio as you drive it and check that the spark advances throughout the rpm range.
After doing an axle job, I typically grab my hubs with my hands to make sure they aren't too hot. I haven't been burned yet.If you have a temperature gun, you can also compare temps across your wheels and brake rotors & calipers to see if you have a dragging brake. Also, check that your Parking Brake lever is completely down and not dragging. Apart from that, take a quick look in the back and see if you forgot to remove that 400lbs of lead that you picked up for smelting, and maybe remove any excess weight that you don't need to drag around.
Heat is an excellent indicator of drag. Has the sluggishness gotten worse more recently?
