JMack,

Yeah, the vent is something I overlooked, so I made those white spacers and they work good. Might be better out of alum.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Ha, yeah, that probably would have been easier…. I’m embarrass to show you what I’ve worked all day to come up with.

Well, I thought I was flush with these emblems, but turns out to be just one. To add insult to injury, it only has two studs on it. Any ideas?

I think I have an extra let me know if you need it and I'll send it to you.

Man it's nice to be a few paces behind you guys. Just got in my restomodair unit today. Haven't opened the box and I already know how to deal with spacing away from the firewall

Hey Bob,

I'm finding that out. Went to a jewelry and trophy shop, no go. What about some JB Weld.

It looks thick enough you might be able to drill and tap it. Ive done it before on small parts you just have to take your time doing it.

The modern emblems don't even use studs, do they? One less hole to allow water to infiltrate. There must be a source for heavy duty double stick tape at an auto supply.

Ron,

Lookup 3M Super Strong Automotive Attachment Tape - 03609 , it’s used to attach emblems to new vehicles and would work in place of the missing stud or I can send you the one I have.

Thanks Guys! Good idea.

JMack, Thanks for the offer, but I would hate to take a guy's stash of non-replaceable parts. I'll try the tape and it still has the two posts, so should work well.

Bob,

My Uncle sold jeeps, back in the fifties and the whole family had some kind of jeep. My Dad had two station wagons. I was helping clean my Uncle's barn out and that grille was up in the loft. It's going on the wall, in my shop. By the way, My Dad and Uncle are both alive at 93 and 94!

I'm just glad he didn't get into selling Ramblers! :)

:)Hey Scrapdadddy, Any update? we are waiting.

Man, I'm waiting also. Still trying to get the body parts aligned and possible bent frame. Took it to a custom body shop and was told they couldn't get the specifications on the frame. Everything is computer controlled. Mean while I've been collecting parts and hope to hit it hard soon.

I'm headed to a body shop that only does old customs on Monday.

Thanks for hanging in there with me.

Here's one for you, waiting for another trailer ride.
