U r correct Sir!
I'm guessing the metal techs are bigger, better, stronger?

Bigger, better, stronger? I'm not really sure, I know Metal Tech uses a higher quality steel, so theres something to be said for that. But I think for most people's use, it's a non issue. I rub, scrape and slide on my sliders much more than I slam down on them. I can't speak for the OPOR ones, but my MT's have held up to task with no issues. Seems like a great price for the OPOR's.

Has anyone heard from MT lately?

I put an order in for sliders about six weeks ago. I got a reply two weeks later stating they were on back order. I have heard nothing since despite emailing and calling! What kind if service is that?

Although I like the Metal Tech sliders I'm about to tell them to F' off and just go down the street to Slee and get their step sliders.

Weird. They just posted up August's promo recently. And they've always answered when I called in the past.

But if Slee is just down the street, it wouldn't even be a question for me. Wish I were closer to the one or the other. Shipping cost sucks!

I'm sure they are busy after closing the shop for the FJ Summit a few weeks ago. That, and Brandon who worked the front/phone/customer service has taken another career path and is no longer there. His shoes will be difficult to fill. I know Metal Tech tried everything they could to keep him, but he was destined for bigger things. His customer service skills and dedication were second to none.

Amory at Slee Offroad is very similar. It's nice to call a shop and have the person recognize your voice and remember your name. Brandon and Amory are that way. It says a lot about them, and even more about the companies they work for.

You can't go wrong with either company or slider IMO...... But Slee is local and a big supporter of everything we do here in Colorado..... Including 100s in the Hills.

I'm very happy with my BIOR LX 470 sliders. Unfortunately I want to replace them now that the AHC is removed and can use standard LC sliders (3 outriggers instead of 2).

Mine is wit the fabricator to have sliders made up.

I've slammed down on my Metal Tech sliders twice on slippery rocks. The only impact that left more than superficial powder coat damage was on the inner part of the slider. The inner vertical support is offset by about .386-.5" and it caved in just a bit.

You will need to tweak your break lines with them. I put a socket between them and the frame to bend just slightly to clear bolts. I had a flittment issue with the mounting bracket coming in contact with the floor ... I cured with taking a BFH to my floor pan to move it out of the way.

If you use them wheeling, keep some black rattle can handy... Eastwoods rust encapsulator matches well.

They look great, have good lines, and offer great protection from bottom and side impacts. If I had to buy another pair, I'd go with Metal Tech again... Especially since I was one of the lucky few who got them during their Black Friday special last year... Shipping to VA was almost as much as the sliders :)

@smileyboy BIOR is in Windsor, CO near Greely, if you want to fab something different than what others offer.

I went with BIOR for several reasons including cost. I was so happy with Mikes work that I had him do custom F/R bumpers. I get them next week. Giddy as a lil school girl.

Sliders are with the coater.
