This seems to be a common problem with the OME kit. I wish I found one of the threads on it before dropping some serious coin on my 1.5" medium Slee kit.

The rear right spring is loose in it's perches and creaks when being compressed or moved. I crawled under the truck yesterday with the spare out and a stethascope and pinpointed the creak to the actual rear passenger spring. all the bushings look good, and didn't make noise before or after I doused them with white lithium grease. I had the install work done by a local Land Cruiser specialist- Mudrak's- and it made noise after about 500 miles.

Is there a remedy for this?

What would lead one spring to be loose and noisy while the other is tight and quiet?

Will my spring fall out of the truck with normal driving? I guess no, but man my springs will fall out of my head if I have to listen and feel this creak anymore!

The spring will not fall out but mine makes the same noise over bumps. Maybe you can get a coil trim spacer to take up some of the slack?

Is the top rubber isolator still installed? or was that removed when the factory springs came out?

just to clarify, you're truck is parked, tires on the ground and the spring is loose? If that's the case, then something appears to be seized and holding that side up. I would double check to see if that side's shock has seized and is no longer compressing.

@Tanner H I am thinking maybe he is missing the upper rubber isolator also. I have been through 3 sets of coils ( because of weight changes) and never had a creeking issue. your coils will probably never fall out as long as your sway bar is connected. I did drop out a coil once in a 3rd gen 4runner while wheeling because the rear sway bar was removed at the time.

The isolator is still there. The spring was loose with a little lift on the frame from the jack, with the new lift my old floor jack doesn't cut it anymore but the pass side had significantly more slop than the drivers.

This AM I went out and re-lubed the springs and shock bushings with bicycle suspension lube and double checked the shock top mount. I put a few more turns on the nut. After casing the truck into some curbs in my court it doesn't seem to be making the noise anymore. However, there are a few bumps on my way to work that have always made the truck creak more than anywhere else. I'll hit those and report back.

Well no noise yet. It has been wet here so I'll wait to see if it comes back when dry. I must have been 1 turn short on the shock mounts the first time. that and the lube seems like it worked.
