Okay, I have thoroughly exhausted sources for ASFIR skid plates. I can't find them anywhere. Do any of you have a line on a set?

If not- what would you go with if you had to buy a set today?

Bud Built makes steel and aluminum

Options are ARB/ BudBuilt/ RCI/ Ricochet

Thanks guys. I am still confused. For those companies that don't specifically list the GX470 fitment, which vehicles skids am I buying? 4runner? FJ cruiser?

Same skids as 4th gen 03-09 4runner

Thanks! I need to get on this....

might be needing this truck for a 3-4 week tour of western states in a couple of months.

I know this is an old thread but I feel it's better to keep similar info in one place.

Saw this in the MUD Classifieds and thought I would see if anyone had any experience with these from 4Plus: For Sale: - FJ Cruiser skidplates

Also above it mentions 4th Gen 4Runner as compatible but not the FJ Cruiser and I was under the impression that skids for the FJ Cruiser would work as well.

So is RCI

I saw the RCI skids at the summit. They looked really nice, not sure how the HeftFab ones compare in terms of design or cost.

Just to inform everyone on post #8 for the 4-Plus skid plates that were on close-out in the MUD classifieds they did not have any transmission skids for the V8 4runners that they said are 3" longer. I didn't know about this difference? I thought that 4th gen skid plates would work on our trucks but not willing to take a chance on this since he says they are 3" longer.
