@Taghi and I camped at Gordy's Hill last night. It was a beautiful night, calm and with a meteor shower to boot (actually fireballs, evidently). We got there late afternoon and scrambled to find a place to camp.

Getting to that campsite involved a sand hill climb with tires still at street pressure. It took a few tries and I had to do it in first gear. As Poupon knows, I get excited about engines screaming at WOT (why I love Ken Block's Gymkhana videos). Probably goes back to cutting my teeth wheeling the mud and rocks of the SE. This doesn't compare to Gymkhana but I thought some of you might enjoy a 235k mile 2UZ-FE at redline. This is my first time posting videos on Mud, so if there is a better way let me know.

Taghi was able to climb it in second gear with his 5 speed auto, so his wasn't singing like mine.

No chill, I like it lol.

I agree, WOT is my happy place
The in cab video plays and the attached video of Taghi below, but the exterior video of your climb David has an error, sad!

Played for me.

musta been a mobile issue, plays now on laptop. Thats sweet!!

I remember the TBI 350 in my FJ60 years ago had a rev limiter and I could just hold the stupid pedal to the floor and let the ecu take care of me. IIRC, the 1FZ-FE in my 80 did not have this, so I wasn't sure if the 2UZ-FE did so I didn't test it. Apparently it does, as you'll hear in the first 30 seconds of this video. Enjoy.

Dang, that sounded good!!!!! ;)
