Daphne and I are headed up Applegate way towards Dutchman Peak tomorrow. I've hardly been out of my bedroom since Christmas. Time to get out. :steer:

I love sliding towards the snowy edge, and girls screaming and throwing s*** and opening doors to jump!! I truly do. Never made it to the top but it was good to get out.

Accidentally picked this up today. 1970 Camaro, 307 V8, Auto, A/C, PS, disc brakes (but not power). The 70-73 Camaro's are worth big money these days even though I still think they are a mullet-mobile. Paid $1000, it was buried to its butt in dirt. So we dug it out and I jacked it up to see how bad the rust was. Get this, it is 99% rust free! It was sitting on the floor pans but they are spotless underneath! The trunk was full of water but not even the slightest bit of a problem back there! The only bit of body damage is a small dent on the beltline of the passenger door. The seats front and rear are close to perfect, dash is nasty and the package tray needs work along with the door panels. It has a horseshoe shifter in the console which is pretty cool. I was gonna flip it but my mother-in-law and my kids fell in love with it. I think I'm gonna try and get it running next week just for s***s and giggles and then I'm thinking pro-touring might be the path I take on it. I'm not a huge fan of these years but its growing on me and the market is hot for them. Longer we keep it the more profit plus I get to be the burnout king of the trailer park! Woot Woot!

The guy across the street from me in high school had a '72 with a hp smallblock we used to cruise the sunny beaches in. Once warmed up the cam was so rad it would just lope along at idle chirping the tires w/o touching the pedal. It was the first car I ever went really fast in......scary fast. Could make a great car for running parts in! ;)

From what I can tell I'm the 3rd owner of the Camaro. It was last registered in 1986. Cleaned the points and plugs and replaced the starter and it fired for a few seconds on starter fluid. Gonna rig it to a gas can tomorrow. I'm guessing fuel from 1986 probably isn't good anymore.

On another note, my buddy and I picked up this 90 supra turbo on Friday. It's complete and stock but it has a rod knock. Took the top off while we were working on it because it's bitchin! My buddy wants the engine, turbo and automatic Trans and maybe the rear end. I think I may need the body for a turbo Ls swap. But that'd be a ways down the road. I do love it though!

Went outside tonight and evidently the lights decided to start working. Looks downright menacing!

Any poor souls want to go up to the Mt Ashland Bavarian Night next Sat March 14th? Maybe a little skiing, little drink, little food, little festival?

Headed for Sourdough Wednesday. Gotta get away and read a book or something. When I get my tax $$ I'll be looking to replace the Ruger GP100 I sold a couple years ago(in case anyone might be thinking of selling something).

Postponed a week...funeral. :(

Saturday my wife and I brought home the 40's "new" engine! It's a Gen 1 SBC 350. According to the date code, I believe it was built in 1976. It came with the first generation of Holly ProJection, a healthy cam, Elderbrock Performer intake manifold, etc... I've started the cleaning process and will be putting new gaskets on it and painting it red.
