PS pump decided to fail at a horrible time while navigating a trick section of trail. I was using a bit of momentum because of the mud and ended up laying the Runner on it's side. It happened pretty slowly and the slider took the brunt of the flop, so that was a blessing... And my girlfriend wasn't scared off by her first flop experience! LOL!

One of my favorite family cars was a 1957 2 door Bel-Aire wagon, no seat belts and for a while no rear seat, unless you count bean-bag chairs, Dad traded it for a 1984 Buick skylark 2 door. He regretted that, and so did us kids! That looks like a fun project.

OREGON, Grant's Pass/Medford: Contact Mark Tobin (541) 476-3605. I have never used him but he has been doing this for years.

So what are the license plate rules again? This is plate is on craigslist for $40 for just one. Not only is it the cool old school blue but 1972 is the year of my pig and of course it has FJ55 in the letters/numbers. So if I bought this and registered as an antique would I never have to register the pig again?

I think you need both of them and last time I checked they have to the type current for that year. The collector / special tags are basically for show/club type vehicles that see infrequent use. I tried to get my 1984 platess from my fj60 and on to my fzj80 but they said I could have done it if I still had it registered and owned it..having the plates wasn't enough

Jesse. The plate has to clear dmv. But otherwise according to their site you should be able to permanently reg as Special interest. You aren't old enough for antique plates.

When using that style plate they give you a little special interest tag like the year/mo tag. And with SI reg, you are only required one plate

Amy and I had a chance to take the Runner up in the snow again yesterday, but we didn't have anyone else to join us so we had to be a bit careful. We had a lot of self-recovery gear, warm clothes, and survival equipment, so I wasn't too concerned. To start the day off, I realized that my Optima Red Top lost a cell and wouldn't hold more than 10.5 volts... So after swapping batteries in the parking lot, we were ready to go. I must say the day was perfect! The snow was nice powder and the weather was clear. What more could I ask for?!?

We decided to stay off trails, but the snow was deep enough that we soon got into areas that hadn't been driven yet. The Runner did great breaking snow and I was impressed with how well everything was going... Until I buried the truck up to the top of the tires, LOL! I figured that would be a good time to air down. 8 psi in the tires and a little shoveling made it so I could drive out without using the winch. I'm happy to say that everything worked as it was supposed to. Now, onto the pics (in no particular order):
