So Mandy has a conference in Vegas so I tagged along. I decided to go see the Welder Up / Vegas rat rod show room just because the stuff they build is pretty wicked. I walked 6 miles in 90 degree heat round-trip but I made it. When I got there the first truck was this crazy green semi and then I walked around the side and the dude was loading it with a huge fork lift... Turns out it was Steve Darnell from the show! After he got off the fork lift he shook my hand, I was shocked! Also in one of the other pictures you can see his brother in law which is also on the show, he's the goofy heavy set guy who kinda does upholstery. Anyway if you're ever in Vegas it's worth seeing.

Well I got a little more work done on the 40. I was supposed to do yard work on Saturday, but the rain got me in the garage! I finished up the main portion of the trans crossmember. I just need to build the fish plates for the frame and cut tabs... I really wish I had a plasma!

I think it came out okay!

So this is Medford beer week... Just got back from the Brews n Bluegrass festival where we entered a pale ale and a double ipa into the homebrew competition. Won first place in the pale category and also got 2nd best in show with it. Our double ipa got lumped in with all of the ipa's and it actually scored higher but did not win anything. We are ramping up for the Harvest Festival in September to enter another much bigger homebrew event then. Pretty cool to score so well our first time out with more than 50 submissions. Good times!

Ive liked your guys beers probably more than most i see at the bar.
You gotta come try our double ipa, I just put it on tap this week. It's super smooth with lower ibu's and 8.3%. It's one of my favorites so far. Also gotta finish the coffee stout so I can put our honey wheat on tap, I think it turned out well, should be around 6.7% and a sweet finish just like a wheat should be. I think we used 3 pounds of honey at the end of the boil.

Were you dressed as Pharaoh when they conceded the "pale" award to you??

Too bad the winning recipe is in the pocket of those jeans in the washing machine!

Hi everyone! Ash here...that weirdo that hangs around with Matt! Finally got around to getting on here. ;)
