Sikaflex seam sealer......

can anyone tell me what type/number i need to do the cowl and other seals on the fj40. there seems to be many types and i dont want to get the wrong one.

I couldn't find Sikaflex locally about 2 years ago when I was installing an Aqualu tub. That's what they recommended, but I used SEM seam sealer instead since I could get it locally. It has worked fine. My recommendations is to use a quality seam sealer you can find locally. If there's an auto paint supplier in Bend, they will have good quality stuff. If not, stick with the name brand stuff like SEM or 3M.

Sika is awesome stuff, and its what I use for production solutions.

But for low-volume stuff (like a 1-off cruiser), I found I really like using Valvoline Panel 60.

Just make sure it doesnt have asid in it other wise it causes rust under your nice paint job.
