Great drive coming down. No issues. Got Becca and josie situated and went over to set up the canopy. Saw David and Lynn while I was there. Site is awesome. Not as long of a walk as I thought. Maybe 20 yards for your stuff and maybe 40 from where you part your car.

I for see some good food being served from those tables.

Going to get Becca to go grocery shopping.

How to get down here. Take 21 to hunting island. Take first entrance on left into park. Drive a little stay right and part in front of park store. Go in and tell them you are with group one or two and get a pass. Make sure they tell you the code to the gate. Our side gets gatted at 9 so you need this code to get it. Then go back out to 21 and take a left go for about a quart mile and take the next entrance into th park. Tell the gate person your in the primitive spot. This is where it get's tricky this is in two parts.

1st part is to drop your stuff off. Basically you go straight down the second entrance of 21. you will see a sgn for North Beach and then one for south beach on your left. JUst keep going straight. WHen you see a pedestrian sign you are close start looking for a sign that has area 1. Stop here and unload your crap beside the road quickly. Then get back in and drive around the back side of the park to where you come to a t in the road. Go right follow that road until you see South Beach. Take that left. it will curve around to the right. Follow this road while looking for a red payphone on the right. Thake the streer right beside it. SHould run you right into a parking area. Bob brown f-150 in there. Get out and follow the trail to camp one. You will come to the road and your stuff. The campsite is right over the hill. JUst follow it anf you will come to the site. Goo

Good times so far as I have seen Possum, Raccons, Deer and squirrels. Awesome place. We have one hole side of the island to ourselves after dark.

Oh great, we are coming in late tonight!
Can you come out and let us in? Or PM me a code? Or should I wait and come in after light.
What time does the gate open?

Wow, looks and sounds amazing Troll!

Thanks for posting pictures, wish we could have made it.

I just went out there... I saw a burgundy 80 with a Ih8mud sticker at the boat ramp.

FYI I talked to the cute blonde forest ranger. She likes painted buntings if any of you single guys are looking for a conversation starter with her.

That was me. :D Absolutely no luck with the crab pots today. Don't know where a good place is to put them.

Frogmore Stew was awesome. There will be some good pics of the feast.

Today out on the boat.

the good crab pot areas are small creeks. if you see a bunch of floats in the water, that's a good spot.

also saw a lifted blue fjc with a ih8mud sticker run a red light this morning... watch out for the black city cop cars.. they live for traffic tickets.

life can be good

It's been great here at the beach.
The campsite # 58 is sweet.
Breakfast off the grill is to die for.
The deer are so tame they wander
right through the campsite.
We had a fox visit us on thursday
night.
Belmont brought the most yummy
smoked chicken I've ever had for
lunch friday.
Scout loves the beach walks.
The stew last night was awesome!
Great crowd.
Doc got me stewed with some
FINE beverage. :grinpimp:
We're having a blast!
Next up is seeing if I can get the
USC vs Ole Miss on the radio. ;)
This evenings festivities should
be a hoot.

Had a good time last night. We ended up catching 5 stone crabs. So we pulled a claw and threw them back. We ate crab claws, frogmore stew, blackened shrimp (Bob really outdid himself on those), marinated flank steak, new york strips, rotel, fried okra, ,and fried flounder. It was all awesome. Raffle went really well and was a lot of fun. There is always a Jere Peterson in the crowd. This time it was David Milligan who racked up. I won the highlift.

Good times. Lots of pictures should start flowing later tonight once everyone gets home. Me I've got a hangover, a 2 1/2 year old little girl, a boat, and a 4 hr trip to look forward to back home.

Big thanks

You Low Country Cruisers sure treated this ol hillbilly to a mighty fine time.
I even won a thing or two at the give away. :hillbilly:
We had a blast at the beach.
I'm back in the hills now and decided I'm taking Monday off to recuperate. ;)
That truck will just have to get unpacked tomorrow.
I had such a good time last night, what with me winnings and all, I forgot
my LCC T shirt. One of you good ol boys hold one for me till next time the ships
pass.
Put me down for next year....NOW! :grinpimp:

Side note: the horrible knocking in the 80 ( I said it goes or it blows)
that could have been a rod  or the waterpump  or a sticking
valve  turned out to be a belt with a bad chunk out of it.
Just north of Colatown it let go and popped the A/C belt off in the process.
Slight noise then no A/C was the only clue.
Nearly shredded the remaining drive belt.
Good of Toyota to put two main drive belts on the 80s. :grinpimp:
I just kept going all the way home. The busted belt was dang near melted
around the fan shaft. Swiss army knife cut it off. No harm no foul.
Looks like I'll be ordering all new belts Tuesday. :)
Ya gotta love them Cruisers. Got us home even on 1 nearly shredded
belt alone.
Ohm...cruiser,cruiser,cruiser...Ohm

finally home

Just got in- 6.5 hrs later- saw gundy on the highway, man those 80's cruise nicely:hhmm:- Pulled in to get gas in BFE SC, went to start and nothing- banged on starter and horrible non starting sound- looks like I am calling Ralph Hayes tomorrow- Some helpfull folks gave us a pushstart and we were back on our way- amen to the cruisers not letting us down. Ended up with one banged up taillight( was not even drinking) but had a blast- thanks to all the LCC folks had some great food and met evenmore great people and did ok a- looking forward to next year.

David replace the idler bearing. WHen it starts going it can shread the belt. I had the same thing happen to me. It wrapped around the fan. I was lucky. There is a thread in the 80 section about where to order the bearing. Cheap.

Well I had a blast this weekend.....the 1st highlight was making it there....after working on the 40 for 3 years I plunged in and drove it the 215 miles down there without a hitch....it was a beautiful drive down thru the country. Then there it was great to eat drink and be merry and not have to worry about a thing. Then the drive back was great till I hit augusta where it was 91 degrees which felt like 100 with the heat from the 40....got about 14 miles to the gallon and it was a fun drive....can't wait till next year.

Looks like a great time. Looks like everyone had a much better time than me (I was stuck at work doing budget all weekend long).

dont feel bad guys....mooker cant even make our local meetings so we never expected him to leave the County for the boil anyhow....LOL :D :D :D :D

Lol....I blame work. Ive gotta find a way to pay for the cruiser habit without working. :crybaby:
