2" receiver, 8274 mount, mini stinger, horizontal clevis mounts with load spreading plates, corners swept back and up, drain holes underneath, 1/4 wall 3x5" tube with 3/16" thick wings. Has since been fully welded but still needs mounts for lights.

Lots of nice ones posted. Here's the one I am working on. Still needs the tubing bent and installed. Will have a Warn 8274 mounted to it. I did press a square tube into the top above the bumper mounts for more strength.

Mine is fugly, though some folks say it's cool. It's made from aluminum so I can always get $100 for it at the s**** yard.

The problems with those bumpers on a 40 series is that it looks too much like a football helmet.

Here is my LX before and after.

Cheers,

Josh

Here's mine just taken off the farm gate that was welded(badly) to the bumper, and took an old warn patrol bumber and the most beat origanal bumper i've seen straigtened it cut the top out and welded the two together, next step is to put some of those T slots in for the hi-lift to fit. It was all nice, shiny, and pretty for around two hours then I trashed it:bounce:

Corrugated Toy; that is one of the nicest, cleanest winch/bumper setup I have seen. Great Job! I want to build it....Tell us how you made it...stock bumper?

Thanks for the compliment! It is all one piece. The bumper is bases off of the stock setup, but a little shorter. The underside is extended to create the winch mount and double as a skid plate.

The square cut outs in the bumper are for the clevis brackets. They bolt directly to the frame. The entire setup uses all factory holes and the only mod was to cut part of the bumper gusset to make room for the winch.

The shop our company uses punched, cut, and bent it for me in a day.(I had to draw it up for them)

The entire pattern is stored in their computer and can be shot out at any time. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll ask him what he needs. It will be basically material cost as all cutting and punching is done via computer + 2 bends. The clevis mounts would be extra. I still don't have mine installed.

Note left of pic... he came out from the scrub completely invisible until it was to late. A serious bull bar is an absolute must for outback travel in Australia.

The bar cost me $100AUD on ebay. Needed a good clean up, 400/600/800/1000 wet and dry; now she looks new again.

Its taken 2 hits this year, still doesnt have a single dint in her. Fair to say its well and truly paid for itself.

Travis.

How come on 75% of the photos with winches....the cables have never been pulled out? :) LOL Too bad for the kangaroo!!
