That’s why most 4x4 clubs will not allow you on their runs without a working e-brake. Your buddy is extremely lucky he did not kill someone or hurt his son.

Did't so much see it first hand, as experience it from half way in the 40 trying to get to the brake pedal with my hand. The bang told me that I didn't need to keep trying...

The Land Cruiser Owners of Puerto Rico went on a Sunday outing and I did suffer some damage, firs was the bumper corner, no big deal. then the problem began, three out of four tires separated. bad news, I ended with four different tires in order to make it out, The problem was I went too low on the tire pressure, learned the lesson the hard way.

When you said "separated" I envisioned blown apart tread or belts rather than than "just" losing a bead. It must be fun reseating the tire when you have all that mud scooped up in there.

I had to bring the tires back to the civilization, the valve stems got ripped off, also the passenger front door wot open, seems that I hit a mud wall pretty hard, but at the end was fun:o

you guys can do better than that...:princess:

I rolled my rain gutter the other way, then rolled my truck into a rock wall....thats the my girl hammering back out the drip rail so we could shut the door :)
Oh and the qtr panel took a beating as well:rolleyes:

I still drive it 350 plus miles a week...

MY DD 60 used to just absolutly get no love in the woods. I would make it fit. Caved in both sides broke both taillights and it is still driving down the road. Couldn't kill that thing. Nearly 300K on it now.

Slid backwards and sideways off some logs into a tree. Stove in the whole front fender, mirror glass landed in my passenger's lap.

Used a claw hammer to bend out the sheetmetal so I could get the door opened. Glued the mirror back together. Discovered a patch on the lower corner and Frankenstiened it together with bolts.
