I hear all sorts of bad things about boiled linseed, but I've been using it for 50 years now and never had a problem.Yes, two coats of boiled linseed so far. I’ll do it daily for a week. Leather sheath is next.
I'm 6 coats in so far. Will keep applying for a few more days. Then yah I'll instruct the boy to do it a couple times per year if he uses it. Or he can just display it. Either is fine by me.
