So I’ve been looking to buy an 80 Series Land Cruiser that wasn’t too expensive or beat to crap, and I came across this LX450. It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but with everything that’s been done to it—and the price—it almost seems too good to be true.

Here’s everything that’s been done to the vehicle:
•Dobinsons 3” Lift Kit (New)
•Dobinsons Front/Rear Shocks - MRR 3-Way Adjustable (New)
•Front & Rear Coils - Dobinsons (New)
•Steering Stabilizer Damper (New)
•Bushing Caster Correction (New)
•Front/Rear Sway Bar Drop (New)
•Rear Panhard Bar & Delta Bracket (New)
•Rear Upper Control Arms (New)
•Front Runner Slimline II Roof Rack (New)
•Steel Front Bumper by Crusin Offroad
•Steel Sliders by Crusin Offroad
•Tiger Shark 9500SR Winch 12V with Synthetic Rope
•New Falken Wildpeak A/T3W LT315/75R16 Tires
•Front Crankshaft Seal & Oil Pump Gasket Replacement (New)
•Rear Main Seal Replacement (New)
•Wheel Bearings Service & Brakes
•New Front Rotors - Slotted & Drilled
•New Front Brake Pads
•New Rear Rotors - Slotted & Drilled
•New Rear Brake Pads
•New Brake Booster Replacement & Brake Flush
•New Belts Installed
•Transfer Case O-Ring & Driveshaft Service
•Power Steering Pump Leak Repair
•OEM Starter Replacement
•Power Steering Hoses Replacement (New)
•Main/Rod Bearings Replacement (New)
•Engine Oil Change (New)
•Throttle Body Bypass Water Hose Replacement (New)
•OEM Engine Mount Replacement (New)
•Pesky Heater Hose Replacement (New)
•Front Sway Bar Bushings (New)
•U-Joints Replacement (New)
•Heavy Duty Fan Clutch (New)
•Water Pump (New)
•Heater Hose HPS (New)
•Coolant Flush - New Antifreeze & Purple Ice (New)
Heater Control Valve (New)
•New Window Motors

They’re asking $27,500 for it with 221,333 miles. Everyone I’ve talked to says that’s too much given the mileage, or they say it’s a Lexus so the maintenance will be expensive. What do you guys think should I buy it or keep searching? Also, apologies in advance if I posted this in the wrong forum—I’m new to this whole forum thing.

Here are some of pictures of the car:

it looks good. Ask about invoices or receipts of the work done. Take it to a shop and get it checked out. The price is what it’s worth to you. If everything is done correctly you’d spend at least the asking price getting a “cheaper” one fixed up. LX or LC it’s the same truck and they are awesome if you understand they are 30 years old and need care and feeding. Good luck with the hunt.

Transfer Case O-Ring & Driveshaft Service
I don't even know what a "Transfer Case O-Ring Service" is...maybe new o-ring for the center diff actuator?

U-Joints were replaced on another line, so what is a Driveshaft Service on this line? Greasing the slip joint? I mean, that takes all of a minute.

Heater Hose HPS (New)
No idea what HPS stands for. Does it have the original rear heater lines or have they been bypassed?

Main/Rod Bearings Replacement (New)
This had to be done in vehicle. Why did they need to be done? This is a red flag to me and indicates excessive engine wear.

Power Steering Hoses Replacement (New)
Check this work as I thought some of the OEM PS hoses were NLA.

I don't know where the OP (or vehicle) is located, but I would definitely take photos of the frame, axles, undercarriage , and known rust locations etc.

Other than suspension, and bumpers, everything else looks like maintenance items. I mean, the question is, is it worth a very high premium for that..

What does the interior look like? Undercarriage? Any rust?

Why were main/rod bearings changed? Unusual for a 1fzfe. Ask!

If you have not done a test drive, I highly recommend you do.

A tad high price for an unlocked truck.

The interior looks pretty good the seats are all intact no rips. No pictures of the under carriage. I do plan on test driving it this weekend and taking it to a mechanic to look it over.

IMO…..a few mods done….the current owner is trying to recoup costs. I would want to see underbody photos and all maintenance records. How about the head gasket? Has it been replaced? Looks like a nice truck though. Also, why is the owner selling?

No photos of under carriage and he said he has all receipts for all the maintenance. Owner is selling it because his sons got dirt bikes and got a truck to haul it so he decided to sell it.

$27.5 man prices are heading back up again. Like previous poster mentioned, seller trying to recoup costs. Any maintenance records? Interior better be in show room condition.. Did you test drive or is this just based on pictures so far?

For that price you might expect it's a factory locked one with the way prices have been, although starting to see non-locked ones going for high amounts too. Nothing like aftermarket lockers that would fix that, but just saying e... x.... pensive...

Seller says they have all receipts for the maintenance and the interior isn’t show room condition but interior looks pretty good for a 96 vehicle. Haven’t test drove it yet just a post I came across.

The speed sensor o-ring thst takes 5min and a few bucks to replace.
