I've wheeled with Bricker for 9 years and I've never thought that. That Pig goes anywhere he points it. His ground clearance is something I can't equal with my 80 nor you with yours. His Pig rocks!
Do I see a trade in the future?

Howdy! Good question. Yes, I do have some towing and cross country to do this summer. I don't have any thing in my stable that will do the job. Instead of renting a Uhaul, I am thinking about buying something that can. At the same time, I am looking down the road a lot farther. If I buy a stockish 80 series now, I can have it loaded up and dialed in by the time I decide to get out of the Piggy. I bought the Piggy when it was 10 years old, stock. It still has a lot of life left in it, but it could really use lower gearing for the trail. It may well outlast my ability to enjoy it. Virtually everything on it is repairable/replacable. Me, not so much. I've already had my shoulders and neck overhauled, and I think I'm loosing the battle on therapy for my left knee. Unfortunately, the 80 series aren't getting any younger either. It will get more and more difficult to find clean, low mileage rigs. IF I came across the right "built" 80, I MIGHT get serious about it, but they are pretty pricey, and not very many of them on the market. Now is as good a time as any to snag an 80. If and when it gets built up trail-ready, then yes, it might replace the Piggy. That could be years from now. Stay tuned sportsfans, for the continuing saga of my 80 search. There may be a great 85 mini truck project on the market, and then again, it could be one Hell of a War Horse Piggy. JohnJohn, what is your intended use for the new rig? You have mentioned, replacing the Mini, light towing, cross the country highway travel, etc. If I didn't wheel the '80, I wouldn't own it. From what you have said, it doesn't sound like a good match for an '80, a Taco/Tundra or Runner/Sequoia would be a better match for the use, much more common to find, more economical to keep?
My guess; if you get a well setup '80, the piggy is going to sit. The '80 will out wheel it and do it much more comfortably. Then you will start silly thoughts/talk, like about going to Moab and s***!![]()
Here's a list to go through.
site mash : toyota land cruiser : combined classified and auction listings
Yup. Keep it. Don't be like that dumbass that traded in his super-clean 94 FZJ80 for a 2008 Tundra.![]()
WOW...my two favorite things...Camo and Landcruisers!
Thanks - saved to favorites![]()
Not locked, original owner, well maintained from what I heard.
Tommy, that is NOT the really nice one that Murf and I looked at!!! This one is the first one that i looked at that is a f'n nasty pile!!!! The tan carpet is Black with stains the leather is disgusting even the headliner was disgusting and it has been in a front accident. The seller Mohammed (really shady dude!!!) acted like it was in great shape when i talked to him on the phone. Then when i got there he proceeded to tell me that he paid alot of money for it and that it was from mexico. I didnt even bother driving it after I went through it. No catalytic converters and the tranny and transfer case have all been swapped. The passenger side rear shock is blown and none of them were new. Before I left I told him thanks for wasting my time and that I should report him for trying to sell his drug/human smuggler vehicle!!! The interior panels are all trashed like they had been used to hide drugs. I had to take two showers when i got home!!! I still get shivers thinking about that poor 80![]()
