After selling my fj60 a few years back and dabbling with delicas (glad that’s over...) I have gotten back into a Toyota. Not a cruiser but it is solid axle and a diesel at least... It’s a 1990 ln106 Hilux crew cab with the NA 3L, a 5spd, and 240k km. It is unmolested and has mainly lived in Canada as a city commuter from what I can tell.
I plan to do most things myself but the one item I am thinking of outsourcing is some rust repairs around the windscreen. I think they should be relatively minor, but I would rather pay someone to do it sooner than wait until I have time to do it later. Pretty sure at least one spot will require a cut and replace..
Does anyone have recommendations for someone who can do this kind of work right? Ideally at a lower hourly rate.... Not worried about the paint part, just want to deal with this rust right as otherwise the shell is pretty clean.
