Hmmm.. Is ADS making the Slee stuff? What am i missing here?

They don't say, but it sure as hell looks just like it to me and they haven't corrected me on it in a few different places where it has been discussed.

Interesting, and awesome...

Yeah, after looking closely at Slees site, and their photos, i can almost assure those are ADS built:

That and "These shocks are build for us by one of the leading shock manufacturers in the off-road racing industry with many years of experience in the desert racing circuit."

ADS has been around forever, making race stuff. They are now entering the product world for us common folk.

Right now, they have phenomenal customer service, turn around times, and quality.

Reminds me of King of back in the day, before they got way too big for their britches and their quality and everything went south

All 4 of my shocks had to be custom made, the fronts were somewhat standard, but the rears are total one off hand made tubes, etc...

Turn around time was only 2 months, built 100% to my specs, weight, and stroke.

I had custom ADS on my Tundra also, and worth every single penny spent.

HUGE Fan! Paid full price, not sponsored, no discount, etc, just a very happy customer and excited a shock company still believes in customer service and quality

Here is a photo of my rears, needed hose coming out of bottom of shock, and adjustable resi hose long enought to get outside the frame for easy adjustment. Shock body is a modified one from a triple bypass, both shock body and resi are 2.5", should be 3.0 but would require a ton of custom fab work due to weird frame notches up top:

Standard OME shocks drive around the world. We took the E7 Cruisers to 7 Continents on standard OME shocks including the Canning Stock Route in Aus, Road of Bones in Russia and Pan-American Highway... zero shock failures. No budget and no compromises :D

I will be installing the standard OME NS shocks again on my 200. The mounting hardware received was a bit off but easly corrected. The shocks have worked great for my application of load and oversized tires. Keep it simple, if you can.

Can you say how many miles you put on them?

The Expeditions 7 Land Cruisers saw 40k, but that’s nothing wild. We regularly see customers with 100k+ and 10+ years on Nitrochargers.

I had almost 90k on a set on my very abused and overloaded 80 and zero leaks or fade

You guys with your choices…
Must be nice LOL.

I have 20k on my OME shocks/springs on the LC. No issues at all. They are great with an empty truck or loaded to the gills. Springs and shocks are really well matched. I also have the OME upper control arms. Zero noises, no squeaks, no rattles, no worrying about shock body corrosion or keeping heims lubed or greasing bushings.

Depends on your POV! AHC has multiple heights, multiple dampening options, and no pesky KDSS to impede large tires. When it dies or stops meeting your needs, delete it and toss on some jewelry!

My vote goes to Koni 90 series shocks (also known as Koni Raid) which are an extremely strong twin tube oil shock, of enormous volume, adjustable, and because of the oil volume, tend not to overheat. Not sure how long they last - possibly for ever! :)

Here's a review: Koni Review

ADS does make our shocks for us where we have specific shocks for vehicle applications based on our specs and design. We sell their whole range of shocks but 80, 100 and 200 is our design in terms of mounting, valving,, bushings etc.

Awesomeness!

ADS has been over the top helpful with my current build and their attention to detail and quality is second to none.

Next I’ll be adding their bump stops

Are you out of stock on the 200 kit currently? I don’t see them on your site to read about..

I guessed correctly!!! That’s awesome news, quality kit for sure.

Needless to say, exposed shafts and seals won’t have the life span of one with a dust cover or proper boot (shaft down or clean occasionally)

The Koni 90 Series tend to have a long life and are serviceable.
