the problem with that is the roof lip is below that point.... ICON uses a single-wide LED bar, but the one I saw wasn't a hard top. I don't like freezing in the winter, so the hard top must still be able to fit. The other thought I had was typical 7" round LED lights above the roofline and a separate bracket for the lights when I put the roof on....I also have to measure my shop door to make sure whatever I do clears

Can you mount it so the upper edge is just under the roof line? Use brackets off the side of the windshield frame instead of the top. I did that on an old Scout. Another option might be to use two different brackets, one with the roof on and one off. More effort, but might look better.

Shifter handle

note the Toyota Racing Division shift knob....

and then there was wiring.... and fixing a problem.... and 4 hours went by....
but I figured out the issue with the compressor wiring.... my goodness does that fill up the tank quickly - and drain quickly.... some bubble testing will happen soon
some of the wiring, one of the radios

then throttle cable

The button on the side of your shifter is for?

I had a momentary off button I used to kill power to the injectors. Worked great as an engine brake on steep downhills. I wanted to mount it to my shifter, but never got around to figuring that out. Ended up not using it enough to keep it to took it out.

prevent air from locking up the cooling system. It's possible that if you have enough air under the thermostat that the thermostat won't open or opens too late. By drilling a small hole, that creates a bypass. It also makes filling the system a lot easier because air cannot get trapped below the thermostat .

Looking great !!

So, does this weep hole eliminate the need to burp the cooling system?

I'm certain it'd be useful, but I have a 6' press brake - if I need a vacuum lift, I simply ask my friend who owns the mechanic shop to do the repair while I'm bending something up for him ;)

now it's starting to look like something... what, I dunno, but something for sure

gauges are in, hopefully permanently

and the oil pressure gauge works, sigh

More Jeep parts - mirrors installed

next is a dash (bar), and a harness bar.... I'm not using these seat belts...

and another nose shot (after turning it around)

more crossing Ts and dotting 'i's

mirrors attached

still working on the speedo.... I swapped out the 3 wire for a 2 wire and still no bueno

and wired the hood lights

along with removed the squealing alternator... I hate replacing it simply because of a bearing... but it appears that is exactly what I'm going to do

Speedo now works
the issue

so here's the deal. Novak builds the 32 spline output housing. They send it to you assembled. When I bought mine, they'd just got them back into stock and there was, I found out now, a mistake

When they machined the hole for the speedometer sensor, they didn't machine it all the way through - so it keeps the magnet at least 1" away from the reluctor wheel. It needs to be 1/16" to 1/8" away. So some creative grinding had to occur.

and there it is installed... and it works

what a pain.

also checked the "attach the sway bar" box

crappy picture, but installed

and I came up with a air cleaner for the compressor

I simply used a crankcase vent filter - it shoudl be more than enough

Is that a vent above your speedo sensor? Going to run a hose from there? Your links don't look painted. Is your right axle leaking oil?

:)... Yep, I am in a nit-picky mood this morning. Didn't get out wheeling yesterday :(
