Tell me I don’t need a battery installed to shift into N and push this thing?

That’s what the shift lock button is for.
 
Even simpler.. put the T/C in neutral.

Tcase in neutral as mentioned above will be your easiest/quickest solution.

However for future sake. IF you should ever experience a situation where your brake lights do not work (bulb, wiring, connector, brake light switch)....you also will not be able to shift out of park.

An override button is provided....that will allow you to manually circumvent that safety feature.
