Starting to plan what kind of build to do on my new-to-me '14 LX. Bigger tires and sliders are first on the list. HOWEVER, I am also dealing with a garage built in the 1940s that is quite height restricted. I am looking at removing the roof rack since I likely won't need it for me and the dog on our camping trips but the sharkfin antenna sticks up almost as far as the rack. Anyone relocated the antenna and if so, where and how.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Can't answer the relocation question but I had to fix mine after catching it in the garage door that was partially open. After you remove it there will be a 1/2" and a 1/8" (aproximative dimensions) holes left in the roof for water to get in. You will have to find a solution for that.

There is a low profile shark fin it can be replaced with. It's about 1/2". Several of the taco trucks relocate them for roof top tents.

Great- any idea where I can find one?
GoFastCampers has a version for 5th gen 4Runners, not sure if it's the same.

I actually cut the top half off my sharkfin (the skinny part) and sealed a plastic filler plate to the top. I have an ARB Base Rack and wanted to use the lower profile rails that don't clear the sharkfin.
