This is a 1984 fj60 with a 2004 chevy 5.3 fuel injected conversion with 300hp and 4l60e auto transmision. This conversion project takes several months and $6000 - $8000 dollars depending on parts used. If your interested in an fj60 and have a place to work on it with some minor mechanical skills, this is your wagon.

If your wanting an fj60, your not going to be happy with the original low power gas burning 4l engine. All the forums suguest this conversion to a chevy v8 and the 5.3 is the best choice. I have this conversion complete but no longer have the time to finish the minor trouble shooting steps as a full time student along with work and 13 month old twins or i would love to keep this thing.

This is a red fj60 with fair paint condition. There are two small rust areas and the pictures are attached. These are common rust areas and are easy repairs. The interior has been converted to black but needs new seats.

Coversion:
- 2004 chevy 5.3 engine from a silverado
- 4l60e is from a 2001 tahoe
- Howel wire harness
- custom exhaust that is 49 state compliant. needs cali cats to meet CA smog. Easy fix. will also need evap system hooked up for CA smog and that is $150 fix.
- Drive shafts have been altered to new size and balance.
- Low profile oil pan from kevko with remote oil filter
- Electric two speed fan
- Rebuilt front and rear end
- Advanced Adapter 4l60e to t-case
- Bilstein shocks (new)

What exactly do you mean by minor trouble shooting? Does it currently run?

if this was close i would scoop this up in a second. wrong side of the country

You were trying to do this with 13 month old twins? It's ok, you can plead insanity. I can barely find the time to change a bulb in my truck thanks to our little mini-man...

Like Georg said- smokn deal! Wish I was closer...

I already asked. It starts and runs, but it leaks at the transfercase and he said it shouldn't be driven too far.

DUDE.......... DON'T JUST GIVE IT AWAY!!!!!

Put a tarp on it and save it for another time in your life. $3500 is chump change compared to the amount of love and labor put into the build.

I need this truck! Has to be 3k miles away......

on the build thread i have some pictures of the engine bay. Otherwise i am not really sure what else you need for pictures.

No offense, but there's only one picture that is clear on that build thread. (The other few clear pics are of other people's trucks.) All the rest of them are either blurry or artistic or both. I was looking for some detailed photos of the truck. I wanted to see what shape the entire truck was in and to see some of the things that you had installed and where you put components, if you welded anything to the frame/body/etc. Basically, if I was going to drive 500 miles and show up on your doorstep with a wad of cash to purchase your truck, I wouldn't want to be surprised. Maybe everyone else can figure out from the pics on your build thread how the V8 parts are installed and modified for your 60. I can't.

GLWS.

quick question- was that axle cut n turned for the spring over be4 despringover?

do you still have the old flat springs from the springover? (do those come with the deal-if someone were interested in returning it to sprung'o'er?)

are you available midweek during day at all?
