I second AJ’s. He’s hosting his quarterly Cruisers and Coffee on 08/31 0930am and its usually a good turnout if you want to come and meet him and see the shop. Great guy and quality shop.

Land Cruiser Specialist 25 minutes and AJ's Yotas 37 minutes are too far away from central austin.

I have a 2016 LC.

If those are both too far, I really like AutoTek off Ben White on Gillis near the Discount Tire.

For Land Cruiser and even Toyota specific needs, you can’t go wrong with AJ. For general maintenance and repairs, AutoTek is a great family owned shop.

HTH

What is the issue if 25 min and 37 min are too far away? If I needed and actual repair either of them are well worth a few extra minutes.

I’ve liked Yost automotive for general type stuff

Another option would be Bearden off 183, they aren’t enthusiasts but are Toyota and Lexus certified

I'll second Bearden, but it may also be "too far" if someone can't agree with Wells Branch or Cedar Park as a destination. I worked there back when I was a teen :)

OP's definition of Central may differ from mine, I'm in Crestview and take mine to AJ - but for immediate proximity, Flamingo is a solid shop. I'm usually recommending them for cars in the area, as Toyota trucks all seem to end up going to AJ or Bearden eventually 🤷

I usually will drive my LC to service with a bike so that i can get myself back to work or home.
Cedar Park and Pflugerville are too far away to do this without killing my day.

While I agree that it makes sense to take your truck to one of the experts I can appreciate your desire to be self contained and local. Whereabouts in central Austin are you? And what types of repairs are you needing? Perhaps one of us can guide you through doing the repairs or meet and assist you. Since joining the community several years ago we have never had a wrenching day, maybe this is a good excuse to host the first one. If I had the proper space I would be happy to host one but I'm confined to my postage stamp. If you share a little more info hopefully we can offer some more ideas.

To Ben’s point, @BigHighBlue
Many of us are pretty well versed in things Toyota. I have 4 ranging from 1980 to 2015. I now prefer to do all work I can on my vehicles and not just because I am a cheapAss.

If something were seriously wrong I’d haul it to AJ @aljollano with zero hesitation and I’m in South Austin-ish.

OP- what do you need done?
