What's the pros and cons for either of these? I already have photoman's bracket so I'm familiar what's involved in the install.

I have a dual batt setup with isolator. (Bot are Die Hard / Odyssey deep cycles.) And I run my 9000lb winch only occasionally.

I was dead set on getting the 150A, but I just found a 130A at my local yard with a 6 month warranty and only 37k on it for $67. Is there a huge benefit to the 150A? Or will the 130A run cooler and probably last longer anyways?

Either one will be a large jump up from what the 80's come with.

I'd get the 130A one. For $67, you can't go wrong. If nothing else, use that until you find your 150A one.

Would this work for the 3FE

That is if a bracket was to be made?

Would everything hook up right.

I can't say that there is a con to the 150 amp. I have been running one for a couple years and see no negatives.

But for the right price, with a warranty, I wouldn't hesitate to try the 130.

Do somebody a solid and sell your working stock 80 alt to a mud member for the price of the core charge + shipping.

The stock 80 and the stock bracket is worth more as spare than you can sell it for. Keep it for spare. This will be one reason to try keeping the stock harness as intact as possible

I found a 130 amps alt low milles good price .. so I take it .. I don't think wa to need those extra amps right now but sure I will .. but meanwhile .. happy with the 130 amps ..

It is not worth a nickel as a spare.

Once you get it working you will never go back.

I want to see this in a 3FE setup really really badly. If this is possible, I would almost even pay for one at a dealer. Provided they are servicable (brushes, bearings, etc).
