Some of us just hurry from Point A to Point B when getting to the Pig Party and other gatherings. You always seem to make it an adventure. Great pics, Craig.

You haven't? We should go there! If you find yourself in the ghost town of Saint Elmo then go over Hancock Pass. You will pass several mine ruins and the ghost towns of Romley and Hancock. Once you go over Hancock Pass hang a left and that is Tomichi Pass. You will pass an old mine that is open and you can go in pretty far until it gets filled with water. The pass is a narrow shelf and there are the remains of an old FJ40 that went off the side many decades ago. Once over the pass and heading towards White Pine you will come to the cemetery of Tomichi (which means "hot water" in Ute). The town was swept away in the middle of the night in 1899. Neat area!

Yes, I have to be honest. I have driven this pass for many years. The last time I drove it I discovered that it has turned into a side by side trail and you have to ride the right edge and up on the left side so you tilt towards the drop. My wife got NO pictures of that section. You can do it, for sure. No mud hole.
